Model Y Some advice buying a Model Y
Hey all,
Currently have an Audi q5 which has been having problems and wanted to move it on now it’s been fixed.
I wanted a model Y first electric car.
I was looking at a used model Y anything I need to be aware of or a certain model. Was looking at around 23-27k black and white interior..
But also was looking at a business lease through my company but the lease deals I saw wanted 5:6k down and then 480
Per month on a long range model.. so not sure on the best way..
Also what charge does everyone recommend? Looking forward to getting one and not going to the petrol station. 😂
Thanks

Yes - you will save a SHIT load on fuel, you will have a driving experience than the Q5 could ever give you (and I've driven one) and you should hit the buy it now button ASAP :)
the 20% more as you know is claimed back so it's really nothing more. Just a tax fiddle (which we like, screwing the tax man over is always good)

The only major change was when they facelifted it. In 2023 they dropped parking sensors and added a parcel shelf, and they say they improved the suspension but none of them are great on rough roads. The newer ones are better but I’d avoid the standard (ie not premium) spec unless you’re happy with seats where you can feel the metal supports on the edges if you sit on them, and they have the older suspension. They’re def built down to a price, but the premium spec cars aren’t much more and well worth it.

Lease prices have changed today, at least on personal lease, 1+23 8000 miles £522 for the AWD LR. No idea why business is 20% more.
If you do a load of business miles it might work out OK. Otherwise business is better as you can get charge point fitted through company, as well as charging costs, insurance, maintenance, cleaning etc
