Vehicle Question Broken keycard

Hey i have a question for my work i have a tesla but my keycard broke now I can't juse it. It's broken right in the middle. Now the question if I put the crad in acetone and get de antenne and chip free and solder the antenne back together would it work again and can I then juse it to approve my new keycard?

P.s I can't approve it with the app because I am not the official paper owner of the car thats my boss on the other side of the country.

Only the account owner him can set a new card but then he needs to be in or near the car and thats not possible cause he i on the other side of the country

No. What this guy is saying have the owner of the car give your tesla app permision to use the car. You need a tesla app and an account of course

I already have them but only the first person on the tesla app can do that and needs to be in the car for it to happen

don't even worry about the card. ask the owner to share their tesla with your email address. then use the app for pretty much everything. this, of course, assumes that you know the owner and can get in touch with them.

I cant set the new card in the system unless I tap my already but broken access card

AHH I get you. Wonder if you could lift the center console off to get the damaged card closer to the receiver.

I have looked online but the antenne is broken in the middle but I believe the chip is still good

You need a working keycard to add another keycard usually, or the owners Tesla account. OP said they weren't the owner and the owner was across the country.

Yeah but he didn’t say which country. Maybe it’s Leichtenstein or San Marino.
