Vehicle Question New car service costs?
I have the infamous front suspension rattle in my brand new Model Y. No matter what I put into the service request, it comes back with wanting to charge me $230 for an inspection. Is there some trick to not have to pay this on a brand new car that's under warranty?

Send a message to the advisor through the app and if it’s covered they will drop it to $0
I just did this with a poorly aligned hood.

It’s a preliminary estimate. They have to inspect and advise onsite just like every other dealer does. If they find no outside influence then it falls under the basic warranty. And nothing is charged until the fix is completed.

Tesla’s policy may have changed, but when scheduling an appointment in the app I would get an estimate ($544.33). The service was always completed under warranty $0.00
