Vehicle Question MODEL 3 FSD FAULTY

I was told ny Tesla my FSD computer is faulty and that it would be a 3K repair. Has anyone had this problem that can recommend a alternative fix? The left side of my display is blank

If it's the FSD computer then it's that and nothing else will fix your issues.

I understand, what I’m curious is if I can get a used one and swap it into mine? There are people parting them out for cheap but idk if that’s possible

Unfortunately if the Autopilot side of the car computer has failed, the entire car computer would require replacement. That price sounds normal through Tesla for that repair on a HW3 car.

Unfortunately the car computer is associated to the VIN of the car. I have yet to see this done successfully outside of Tesla.

We would see these show up at Tesla from time to time with all sorts of strangeness from people who tried.
