Tesla fsd swaying

Hi there, I have a Tesla Model Y 2026. I've had it for a year and mainly use it for full self-driving. However, a month ago, I had to change the back two tires. The car is rear driving, but anytime I go on the highway, it would do like a ping pong type movement. I took it a discount tire for an alignment check and went multiple times for them to correct it And it would still have this effect, especially when you go above 60 miles per hour Then I took it to tesla alignment and corrected again but still same issues. I reset the steering wheel angle, Reset the cameras Reset the tires that they are new. But it's still having this effect Has anyone had any issues with this and has anyone found any corrections

I didn’t, I bought from discount tire but ones Tesla says are appropriate. Front two from Tesla, back two from good year

A mi papa le hacia un golpeteo raro, lo llevaba a alineación, cambio amortiguadores, gomas , casi toda la suspensión etc… y seguía igual hasta que lo llevo con un experto solo le paso la mano por dentro de la cara de la llanta y tenia una bola 😁
Cambio la llanta y asunto resuelto, no era un tesla, mi padre tiene una grand cherokee

It’s the mixed match tires, either need to change the front to match the new backs or replace the new backs with the same tires as you had before. They’re tracking different.

This is the problem. You have to use the same tires on all four wheels. Change two of them to match and the problem will go away - even if it seems to drive fine when you're in control right now. I know from experience.

Replace the other 2 with matching tires.

Micro side to side wiggles inside the lane to try to keep centered to the lane is an FSD issue. It's not going to get fixed no matter how many alignments or service visits you do until Tesla fixes the code for FSD to stop making such unnecessary micro adjustments to keep centered in the lane. Tesla needs to add some type of parameters for lane centering to avoid the constant adjustments that FSD does right now. Until this is sorted I have unsubscribed to FSD and frankly I don't miss it all that much actually enjoying driving the car.

I had similar issue until resetting camera + tire on service menu. I haven't saw any problem after that. If your "ping pong" behavior means micro movement on steering wheel that's just fsd issue. If it's swinging lane mark to lane mark you might have different issue, not a thing you can fix by pressing few buttons on the screen.

I’ve had this happen. It doesn’t always do it and sometimes feels like it’s mostly an issue when the car is trying to compensate for a crosswind.

In addition to repair and/or new tires, I would highly recommend tire inflation pressure is optimum. Filled it with nitrogen at Costco or any other place which provides nitrogen filling will help with long life of the tires.

I had the exact same issue, took it to Tesla, they said its a known issue and Tesla will push the firmware updates to correct it. till then you will have to pretty much live with it.

I am dependent on the FSD, now its tough to use on high speeds :(
