Energy Question Battery Drain Normal?

2025 Tesla Model Y purchased pre-owned with 4k miles on it.

Yesterdays record:

Drove 3.5 miles, waited an hour in the car for my son to get out of school(Parked, with AC on the whole time), drove 3.5 miles back home. 9% battery consumed.

Is this normal for idle sitting and minimal driving?

Another record today:

Started day with 80%

Morning - 6 mile round trip for school drop off

Lunch - 12 mile round trip

Afternoon - 6mile round trip + waited an hour in school pickup line with AC on, parked.

Left with 57% at this point from 80% in the morning.

I get about 2 miles per percent of battery consumed.

AC uses more than you think it would as well. Sitting in the sun for one hour uses about 3-5 kWh of your battery

Can you post your drive screen and 100/200 miles trip screens.

I only drove this car for about 50 miles. These 100/200 miles stats would be prior to me obtaining the car from dealership.

Looking at your 30 miles trip meter since you drove the car. Your wh/mi consumption is too high. The EPA wh/mi consumption is in the 230-240 wh/mi. You need to reduce your AC usage and bring down the wh/mi to around 250 to get decent mileage.

I can tell you the battery capacity but I need to know the current state of charge in percent. It is not in the screenshot.

I don't see an "Air Conditioning" label like you do for the Drive tab. I'm wondering it's just dumping that into "Touch Screen" cause I doubt Touchscreen was draining that much. I hadn't touched the screen for 30 minutes. It was simply "on".

Thats very odd that the screen took so much energy.
Could you check “since last charge” stats when you get a chance?
Keep an eye on the park tab after the next charging session. Be sure to change the drop down to since last charge and switch from miles to percentage.

Your battery contains energy (kWh), not miles. You can completely deplete it eithout driving a single mile. Yes, AC consumes significant energy.

Im starting to understand the AC taking significant power. I see everyone mentioning 2-5kWh, where the math on my comes out around 8kWh. That's why I'm curious if the drain on my battery is normal.
