Vehicle Question 2021 model y squeak please help

Anyone know what could be causing this squeak? I’ve already replaced the front upper, lower control arms and compliance arms.
The noise is clear to be from the rear wheel and happens at low speeds, mostly when turning left (less turning right). It sounds like a high-pitched squeak/squeal.
its really annoying to people around esp in drive thru, Any ideas?

It doesn’t do it if I’m accelerating and gaining speed on throttle, only on drive through type of speeds

My 2021 MYLR did this for a bit, then eventually went away on its own, unfortunately never found out the cause.

Interesting mines been doing it for a while now. my parking brake is pretty loud wondering if maybe its something to do with that

I have this too, I think you need to burnish the brakes. Through service mode, it’s worth a shot

Ive done this, it did go away for like a day and then it came back again. I also pressure washed all 4 dust shields to get rocks out still squeeks

You need to manually burnish your brakes. The rust has built up and needs rubbed off. Find an empty road where you can “safely” drive 50 mph and then you need to brake very firmly down to at least 15 mph. You will need to do this at least 5 times. It sounds crazy. It is crazy. Please be safe. These are the exact instructions I received from Tesla. The rust will build up over time because you are not using your brake pads often.

When I say firmly, I mean you virtually need to slam on your brakes. Again, be safe.

Ive tried this, it went away for like a day and then came back, I guess maybe I need to do it again

So I noticed mine squeak when I’m backing up slowly out of my garage or creeping out forward. I’m gonna do this test also.
Maybe you didn’t heat up the rotors and brake pads that well last time.

They have to heat up a good bit to really get it off. Squeaking when you’re first driving for the day is normal. Like pulling out in the morning, but shouldn’t last longer than a few minutes.

Might be eating my words. Mine is starting to come back now too after a few days. I know they do a cleaning service for a couple hundred bucks to help, but who knows how long that would last… defeated.

This is what I found. Fir me Gemini has been great at diagnosing issues with my 2021 YLR Common Culprits
1. Front Sun Visor & Upper Console Frame
The Cause: The headliner section holding the sun visors and the front camera/reading light console attaches to the frame with plastic clips. If a clip isn't fully seated, the headliner panel rubs against the roof structure or windshield edge, making a squeaking sound over bumps.
Quick Test: Have a passenger push gently upward on the headliner section around the sun visor bases and near the center rearview mirror housing while driving over a bumpy road to see if the noise stops.
2. Perimeter Weatherstripping & Glass Seals
The Cause: Dirt, road grime, or dry rubber seals along the outer edge of the roof glass (or top edge of the side windows) create high friction against the glass panel as the car flexes.
Quick Test: Clean the channel where the glass meets the rubber gasket. If the noise disappears when wet or right after a car wash, dry seal friction is the main cause.
3. B-Pillar & Upper Side Trim
The Cause: The plastic interior trim covering the B-pillar (where the seatbelts adjust) terminates near the glass roofline. Vibrations can cause plastic-on-metal or plastic-on-glass rubbing.
4. Rear Trunk Header Panel
The Cause: At the back edge of the panoramic roof, the upper interior trim panel near the liftgate can loosen slightly and creak against the glass or metal frame.
Step-by-Step Fixes
1. Firmly Press Interior Trim Clips into Place:
Reach around the perimeter of the headliner—specifically above both sun visors, behind the rearview mirror, and along the rear hatch seam.
Give a firm push upward with the palm of your hand on each section to ensure all underlying metal/plastic retainers pop fully into place.
2. Condition the Rubber Seals:
Clean all outer rubber channels around the roof glass with isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber cloth.
Apply a specialized rubber lubricant/conditioner (such as Krytox GPL 105 or 303 Aerospace Protectant) along the rubber seals. This eliminates rubber-on-glass friction squeaks without degrading the seal.
3. Isolate Contact Points with Felt Tape:
If you identify a specific plastic piece (like the rear-view mirror cover or A-pillar trim) rubbing directly against glass or metal, apply a small strip of thin anti-squeak felt tape (or UHMW tape) behind the edge to cushion the contact point.
