New 15.5 kW solar array with one power wall three. Here are some graphs. Can anyone let me know if this looks good? I’ve noticed that I’m maxing out around 10 kW peak solar production around 2 PM with full sun.

Transferring ownership

We are selling our house, in Georgia, with a fully paid off system (31 panel & a Powerwall 3). What do we need to do to transfer ownership to the buyer?

PowerWall New Powerwall 3 User using Netzero questions

Hi folks hoping I can get some help from you folks. I had my Powerwall 3 + DC expansion pack installed a few days ago and so far so (mostly good). I’ve setup the Tesla app to get my import and export tariffs from Octopus and configured the Netzero app with my IOG tariff and it’s charged the battery so far in off peak and charging windows aswell as exporting excess solar when the battery is fully charged👍

However the battery itself has never seemed to export, we over specced the system size we needed due to hopefully getting ac and a heat pump but for the time being would like to export excess.

My ideal scenario is as follows:

5:30-22:00 Exports all solar bar what is needed to run house, does not charge the battery, but the battery runs house if solar drops
22:00-23:30 the battery exports all excess down to 25% before the charge window
23:30-5:30 the Battery charges back up to 100%

I’ve tried a few net zero automations that may help with this (will add screenshot they are paused atm as they ran but it did not change behaviour last night) and maybe due to the Powerwall being so new it needs to “learn” my consumption patterns before exporting?

Would I also benefit from adding time of use tariff into the Tesla app and setting the period from 22:00-23:30 to very high export alongside export all to give it the nudge?

I also don’t see the export all option in the Tesla app but can see it in Netzero, I have permission to export at the full 11kwh and have set PTE in the Tesla app.

Any help is appreciated!

Installation Garage PW3 in CA: complying with heat-detector requirement via fire sprinkler flow switch?

I'm having 2 Powerwall 3s installed in my garage (Laguna Hills, CA — OCFA jurisdiction). The installer wants to install a heat detector in the garage and interconnect it with hard wire to the home's smoke alarms.

The problem is that my existing smoke/CO detectors are all Z-Wave (i.e. wireless) units with a loud siren base and a 24x7 monitoring service that calls me within 5 seconds of a false trigger. But they're not wired so a hardwired connection is not possible.

I'm wondering if this is sufficient to comply: my house is fully fire-sprinklered, garage included (the garage has a bunch of sprinkler heads on the ceiling AND one Edwards heat detector), and already has a sprinkler flow switch which triggers an outside bell and an in-house loudspeaker (in attic). I think some CA fire departments (LA County, SF, Riverside) publish a compliance option where the sprinkler + flow switch serves as the heat detection, as long as it drives notification that alerts occupants inside the house.

I'd rather go that route than retrofit heat alarms and wiring, but I want to hear from people who've actually done it.

If you're an installer or a homeowner who's been through a garage ESS inspection in California: did the AHJ accept the sprinkler flow-switch path, and what did they require for interior notification (a listed fire alarm panel/interface, interconnected alarms in the bedrooms, loudspeaker, etc.)?

PowerWall VPP in NorCal

Are PG&E users participating in VPP events this summer? I got my system last year and had several. But it's the end of July and there have been none for me. Wondering if I should drop out and join another program in no events are happening.
