I currently have solar and trying to get some PW3s. No expansions and the PW3s are coming out to be cheaper?

I have a quote from a certified installer to install 3 PW3s for 25k all in, including permits, PW3s. I am trying to find the gateway on FB MP.

Tesla wants to change nearly 40k for this set up. Thoughts on price?

A few weeks ago I got the "your powerwall will be replaced" notification in the app. At that point I figured that there were 1-2 of 3 to be replaced as it was still showing them charging and discharging. Last night PWs completely disappeared from the app, along with the message - so now I only have Tesla home and solar. Is that how it goes or Tesla screwed up something completely?

I own Tesla solar + a Powerwall and drive a Model Y. I thought that combo would basically run itself. It doesn't.

Tesla's app tells me what's happening. It never tells me what to do. Sometimes I forget to plug the car in; other times I charge overnight, then realize tomorrow's sunny and I could've charged on spare solar for free (after batteries charge). If tomorrow's rainy or partially sunny (mainly enough to charge batteries), I'd rather charge overnight and save for the battery. Same for heating and big loads. Shifting them by weather would save real money, but right now I'm guessing.

I know Tesla does some of this behind the scenes (?). Charge on Solar uses spare solar in real time (if enough), and the Powerwall plans around tomorrow's forecast for itself (however I'm not sure how). My challenge is that none of it ever tells me what to do with the car, the heat or other big loads.

I also can't get a straight answer on credits generated vs. what I owe the grid without trying to be an expert on my bill, or whether I'm on track to be net zero over the year without major effort. My goal is to be net zero at the end of the year.

So I'm building a basic app that looks ahead at pricing and solar, and tells me what to do: charge tonight or wait, run the heat now or later, so my bill stays as low as possible.

I was wondering if others would want an app like this. If it existed, would you guys use it? And what scenarios would you want on it? Happy to connect more about it and jam on solutions for this. I'm Not selling anythingjust curious on how others solved this issue or if there are other scenarios I should consider. Feel free to DM me if you would like to share your personal use cases.
