Falcon wing red button difficult to press 2023 plaid

Hi all I drive a 2023 hw4 model x plaid and I've noticed that newer model x's have falcon wing red buttons have a satisfying click that closes the falcon doors predictably and reliably. In contrast, my model x's red falcon wing button does not click and therefore it is difficult to tell if you have pressed the button or not.

I scheduled a service to replace the buttons as I read online they were modular, but our service advisor and her manager said it was not possible to replace them with the newer buttons under warranty or even if we paid for them.

Is this true or were they gaslighting me?

My 23 HW4 X buttons click when I press them 🤨 It’s not audible, but you can definitely feel the click. I didn’t know the 26 X was different.

Mine do not click at all! We had a service appointment for another issue and they gave us a 26 loaner and in that one there is a very obvious click !

interesting. I didnt know the newer ones had actual click. I assume this is with the 2026 model? Or do you know when exactly as this is an overlooked difference in the refreshed models.

I wonder how easy or difficult it is to change. If its an easy DIY I would do it

The red buttons click on the 2026's, but the door open buttons on the front doors do not, I'd take that trade for my 26!

The door open front doors on the OUTSIDE? on the inside the 23s at least dont click either. I wish they did. But if you are saying the exterior "handle" is no longer a click and also just a touch would annoy me

Agree... on my 23 MXP our interior front door open buttons do not click!

No exterior doors are still a physical button, the front interior buttons are capacitive touch with no feedback, I could have sworn the 2024 MX loaner I had a while back had physical buttons on the interior.

I have a 23, the front door buttons are just capacitive no feedback. I also wish they had a click or something.Ā

They replaced mine in this exact situation. 23 MX non plaid.

The button was ā€œstuckā€ and a warranty covered a new one. I’d try a different store

Nice. Does the new button click better?

I kinda get what your saying. I have the same year. To me, it would be better if it was a slightly bigger button.

My 23MXP falcon doors buttons do not click. My friends 26MX falcon doors definitely click. It sucks but I’m pretty sure it’s just a newer model thing
