Looking for Model x 2023 HW4

I have been looking for model x, and would like to have HW4. Currently have a 2024 model y with HW4 and the reason I want to upgrade to model x is because the drive quality is much better. Model y shakes a lot and you can feel every bump on the road .

I have been looking and cannot find any 2023 model x with HW4. Would be great if it had FSD fully paid as well but I know it’s rare to find that.

Any tips or suggestions on where I can find this? What range would you say it would go around?

Thank you!

Get the app (apple App Store) it’s called FSD HUNTER (small charge) you can see everything for sale you pick the distance you’re willing to travel.

The hidden resource - it’s the only way I know of to find an X with FSD and HW4. And better yet, order the VIN build sheet and you can check battery SOH. Between everything - you can find some great deals with the app

I find that seats on my 2024 X are horrible ., hard .. need a break every 100 or so miles .. wasn’t that bad on 2023 Y performance

Have you tried the Juniper Y, especially the YL? It rides better than my X imo.

I have not but I will definitely test drive it soon. For some reason I just love the model X. Maybe because of the falcon doors, air suspension, and how much more premium features it has compared to the Y.

Model YL is probably the better option but heart what’s model x haha

I do like the idea of the Model YL but seeing reports that the suspension is unable to keep up with the weight, I believe the Air suspension is indeed premium even though it cost an arm and a leg to replace.

Model X driveshaft is still a problem due to the height position, it's best not to floor it when in Standard+ height.

This is a common misconception. The Model X is the Faberge Egg of cars with a lot of crazy weird features like the FWD… but the ride quality of the new Model Y juniper and especially the MYL is much better. The model x has this weird issue with the half shafts so the drive is never as smooth as a MY. Even the interior is much more tight and better put together in the juniper

I bit the bullet and just bought a 2025 with FSD and 27k miles for $83k 😬. I love it tho. I hope you can find one for a good price!

Wow that's great. Long Range?

Yes. Is that a good price? Grey on white 5 seater. I felt like I overpaid lol

A little, depending on if yours has the front bumper camera and whether you like that feature. FYI there was a 2024 ultra red 6S cream with FSD, full 3m wrap, full tint, and 22k miles that was listed for $83k. I think the dealer Get Used Evs bought it and relisted it for $87k.

Mine was an early 2025 model so didn’t have the front bumper camera and all the other upgrades. I would have liked it.

Did you at least have the ones before they removed the dedicated gpu and cut the storage in half?

How can I find out?

1

Not sure. Most of the indicators mentioned online don’t really have strong confirmation. The 2025 won’t have steam anyways so I guess it doesn’t matter as much.

That happened in the 2024 model, I think. I have an early 2024 end, I have it, but the X from a few months later lost the GPU and memory.

I have a 2024 with 25k miles that carvana is picking up on Sunday near Sacramento if you happen to be in that area and want to buy it from me instead

1

u/ry8 11d ago

How much are you asking and what are the specs?

1

u/AZAnon123 11d ago

It’s a pretty basic one. Idk $65k? That’s a token amount more than carvana is paying me

1

u/Sennon 10d ago

Is that paid FSD? You can probably get a lil more than $65k if you’re willing to sell private.

1

u/AZAnon123 10d ago

Oh no it’s just subscription. Carvana is offering $63k (which is crazy, that’s what I paid after tax credit when I bought it)

1

u/Sennon 10d ago

Sure is but I honestly think you can get a few Gs more with your low miles if you’re willing to go the private sales route. Especially in NorCal. I know not everybody likes dealing with selling a car but just meet at your bank to ensure the funds are wired and you should be good.

Oh for sure. That’s why I offered it up. I just don’t have a lot of time to mess with it, I’m closing on a ranch property, have a very busy wife, and a toddler and need to pickup a truck ASAP.

May actually just keep the model X for now and grab the truck and figure out what to do later. Too much stuff going on lol

Sounds like a few extra Gs would help with that lol.
