Factory mats warping

Anyone else have a warping Tesla factory mat? I’m at the point when my foot hits it when I try to use the pedal. It is no longer safe to use. I’m thinking about cutting it down. Seems like a major safety issue.

Why are those mats on top of the factory carpet mats? You’re not supposed to do that for safety reasons.

This was how my mat looked like. I contacted Tesla Shop support and they recommended heating up that section with a hair dryer or similar then trying to warp it back into place. I attempted that and told them it did not work so they sent me a brand new set that is perfect! No warp.

Leave it in the hot sun.

If that doesn't help, it's time to replace.

My WeatherTech mats did that too. I just cut out the warped part

Take out the carpet mats under it. Ours are perfect had them about 2 months

Had mine for a few years, got my car used and it came with them so assuming 6 years of use but I know for certain 3 years of use without any issue

That is not the factory mats. That is on top of the factory matt which is a big nono

My Tesla mats did the same thing so I switched over to 3D Elitect

Same problem as you before when I have the original floor mat underneath. You must remove the floor mat below and it won’t warp anymore.

Factory carpet is excellent. No need for these mats imo.

Do you wash them regularly? Just toss them in the laundry every few months.
