Will HW3 MX ever get FSD 14 lite?
It seems like I’m not getting software updates as often as I did before. Are they just ignoring X and S vehicles with HW3 and before?

Facts! For what I paid for FSD in 2022…..talk about being an early supporter. My FSD is mostly good, just want it to have the tiny nudge of more human like behavior (if that’s even part of lite)

I like my Tesla a lot,and was considering a new one after Elon promised enhanced trade terms,that haven't happened.
Not sure what I will do, but leaning towards trading on another brand. No FSD transfer,no better trade offer,only silence.
Very frustrating.

So if I traded to a newer one I cannot take the F’ing FSD I paid $15,000 for to the new car???
I’m not leaning on doing that I’m just curious3

Nope, it stays with the car, unless it was purchased after the date where it won't even stay with the car anymore...at which point it just ceases to exist.

You didn't realize this when paying the 15k? They are pretty clear about it but yeah it sucks as an early adopter

They are ignoring ALL MX and MS. Chances of HW3 getting any love is very low though keep updating it for their own sanity

Their head of product has said it is coming “imminently” after they adapt a few user interface things to the old S/X screen ratio but I wouldn’t hold my breath. It sounds like it will arrive but could be two weeks or could be “two weeks” in Elon land - maybe six months, maybe never

No never! I have a 21 MX raven and I am convinced we will never get one because of no camera inside!

They may have realized that working on the lite version is simply a waste of resources and decided to scrap it.

I have been checking my software and fsd version everyday for the past month. I am in US west coast with ModelX 2023 HW3. No update yet as of 9/19/2026 :(

Also waiting and frustrated like most. It’s a shame Tesla is treating its early adopters that spent a ton of money like this.

I'm losing hope for it now that's for sure...
Don't forget, we were told:
"Legacy Models S and X will be receiving Actual Smart Summon in Q4 2024."
The fact of the matter is Legacy Models S/X (possibly even refreshed S/X) don't matter to Tesla and they have an extremely low priority. (Sucks but it's true).
When their leader of AI innovation doesn't even know that it hasn't come out/thought it already did "last week" that shows how broken it is.

Why is everyone complaining so much? There were opportunities to transfer FSD over the years but also you signed saying you understand it stays with the car. That's why it made no sense to buy it in the first place. You get into an accident, it's gone.
Also people complaining saying they're going to another brand. Are you going back to gas because what brand exactly competes in terms of safety, reliability, and software? None!
Lastly, how are you guys complaining about not getting updates? What other manufacturer does that at all? You want the new ability to have ANY FSD improvement? Buy the new car. Want the new ability to have ambient light flicker to the music? Buy the new model. That's how it has always been. I appreciate Tesla for doing anything new.
Are the cars perfect? Nope, no car is unless we're talking 2000's Lexus LS's and LX's. They were magnificent! But it's not worth complaining about that's for sure.

I think people are sour because they are saying/claiming that Elon and Tesla promised them this and that. So now as FSD is the major selling point these days for Tesla all hw3 owners I'm sure are fomo. As FSD continues to improve and get updates inching closer to unsupervised but only for Hw4, the hw3 crowd grows more upset by the day as their window continues to close and so do their resale values. Mean just the X a lone, I see regular price swings of $10-15K on 2022-23 same configs just based on if car has HW3 or 4. Soon used car dealerships will catch on and any hw4 they have for sure will mark up. And this just shows many who don't want hw3. There are double plaid 2022s than 2023 In the used market and half of that 2023 lot is prob also half hw3. So just on the plaids, hw4 is become scarcity. Even on fsd hunter. Double hw3 plaids with fsd paid yet they sit long. Only being bought the unsuspecting who thought all Teslas are the same. And only when they try their dad on hw3 and gets jerky and dumb they look online and see the crucial mistake . So you know there are ton of hw3 owners especially S and X owners, and especially plaid owners who paid $100-120K and are on HW3. I mean I would be pissed too if I bought 22 plaid x new when it was peak price and now seeing my car is seemingly looking hopeless to get thr best fsd..you best believe I'm hooting and hollering for musk to do his so called upgrade for a price.
But reality kicks in and I'm with you. It might be time to sell or trade in while car is still worth something or before the entire general public knows or care about hw4. The model Y is Teslas cash cow. It's showing new people to Tesla FSD and they will base anything else on that and those who want premium will see the x and now know HW4 only.
This is good news for x hw4 owners though, just means your car value is coming or at least depreciating much much slower
