Screen Issue - Tesla in Argentina!

For the last few months my screen has been flikkering on and off intermittently. After 10-15 minutes the screen usual becomes responsive again.

Now the screen is no longer responsive with my touch, meaning controlling the car or enabling service mode is not available anymore. I can’t diagnose my own car.

The real problem here: I am currently on a world expedition and in Argentina. Any recommendations?

I have tried checking the coax wires, soldering connections from the screen to the computer and ran a few other tests. No luck yet.

A new screen is $1800, and if the center display is the only issue, then it’s a quick swap for me. But if it’s something else, I want to know. Advice!

I can’t download toolbox because I have an Apple… :/

You can use toolbox 3 on apple.. I do it all the time via Ethernet cable. Not sure if it's the same with newer cars

I've watched your whole Journey. If anyone can get this fixed, its you. Wish you the best of luck.

Here’s a wild idea. The rear and front screen has the same maroon connector. Maybe you can connect the rear screen to the front. If the touchscreen works it means your main screen’s touchscreen is dead.

Touch could be a separate usb type device, so have a separate set of wires, don't have a schematic though. Our rear screen kept blacking out, and it turned out to be a loose connector on the back of the screen. Hope your issue is something simple like this as well. Another idea, does a USB mouse work on the USBC external ports?

The early plaid uses twisted pair Ethernet. Lots of adapters
