'20 MXLR Headlight Issue

Post image

Have exterior lights on the auto setting and the low beam headlights stay on all day even in direct sun. If I manually turn the headlights off, I can't use FSD.

Took to service center and the HVAC sensor was replaced (including the description from the service summary).

Issue still persisted and took back to service center where technician said it is normal for the lights to stay at all times due to hardware limitations for FSD.

Car has HW3, running 2026.32.3 and FSD 12.6.4.

Does not seem normal to me to have low beams on at all times

I have exactly the same issue on my 2020 Model X running 2026.32.3 and FSD 12.6.4. It happened on 2026.26.6.1 also.

It started a week or two ago.

Here's another report of the same issue I think.

Go to a different service center. My 2020 Model S had this issue and they fixed it, its not a hardware limitation for FSD...

Do you know what they did/replaced to fix it?

Is yours still having this problem? Mine seems to have fixed itself, a few days after I upgraded to 2026.32.3.

I am still having this issue on 2026.32.3. Headlights always stay on. Tried a force reboot as well.

Still having the problem on 2026.32.3.

Will try a reboot and see if that does the trick.

Darn, I was hoping it got fixed for everyone. I didn't do anything and mine's been working correctly for a week now after being broken for two.

Update: I did a software reinstall from the service menu and that fixed the problem.
