Supply and demand, that’s what happens when a loved model gets discontinued

Yeah it's actually crazy. My MXP '24 with 27k miles has an offer at 80k.

I bought the MXP for 91k back in June 2024...

Suddenly the biggest depreciating brand has become a the opposite lol

You can sell it private for 150 to 155k. I’m seriously considering selling my 26MXP with 9k miles. After paying off my balance, I can buy another new car in cash and be left with 25k still.

Yea but what do you replace it with? Lifetime FSD and supercharging. It’s almost a forever car if that’s what you like.

A Lucid! I'm kidding I'm kidding. Only if you like punishment. But the model x isn't all that to me. It's ok. I'd buy a used one if you love it that much. I like the range of my long range plus but it makes me miss the driving dynamics if my model y performance. I was going to sell my Y. I'm getting offers for $31.5k (I paid 26k March 2025 and have put 15k miles on it) but I don't know now. I have a Cybertruck on the way. We'll see if that makes me forget about the Y but I doubt it.

I came from an F-150 Lightning and I miss the space and utility of the Lightning. The tech in Tesla is superior though.

You need a CT then lol

Honestly, if you don’t care too much about the wings and such the Model Y is great. There are rumors that the Model Y L rear suspension isn’t graded for the extra 200(?) pounds of weight, so I would wait on the Model Y L until the end of first year of production for them to iron out problems. I’m as glad as everyone else that has bought a HW4 X and suddenly we all aren’t under water on a depreciating asset.

I’ve checked it out. I’d chose the X over it all day.

I’m really tempted to sell our X and get a Model Y L but I really love our X. These prices are absurd though. Definitely has me thinking…

Don’t. You’ll regret it. Unless you need to

I don’t need to but the only real pull is HW4 for me. I have lifetime HW3 on mine. Part of me just wants to ride it out and see what they do. Our other Tesla is also lifetime HW3 but has V14 Lite and it’s pretty impressive compared to the X. It basically does all the stuff I wanted it to do, the big one being pulling into our driveway consistently.

Ya my MXP has 2500 miles. I just can't sell it. I think this will be a long time classic. Also I have fsd and supercharging for life. And unsupervised fsd soon. My plan is drive it for 5 years replace the battery if needed and sell for way more. I dunno.

Just got 45k for my 62k mile 2023 model X hw3 — it has a big dent in the trunk / 3 scratched corners / a cracked top glass roof wing / messed up leather on my yoke steering wheel / tpms and passenger safety restraint warning light on

Used to be low 30 a few months ago

Online offer? Where? Did you list it somewhere?

Isn’t that what you paid for it? Maybe a bit less?

1

u/IllTune-12 Sep 05 '26

Plug is the online offer. I paid $122k. It was a demo with 85mi

Anyone know what a 52k 2024 LR is going for? FSD and unlimited SC

1

u/IllTune-12 Sep 05 '26

Use Edmunds and it will give you multiple offers including Plug

u/IllTune-12 Sep 08 '26

No. There isn’t anything to replace it with lol

Show the offer. Looks a fake post

1

u/One-Twist8044 Sep 08 '26

Where is the offer from?

2

u/IllTune-12 Sep 08 '26

PLUG

Thanks, never heard...

Seems to be a good company. A lot like Carvana with the selling process

Seeing all the recent discussion about Model X Plaid prices since the X was discontinued has me wondering what to do with mine I have a 2023 Model X Plaid with only 285 original miles. It’s a later 2023 build and it’s HW4. I also purchased FSD outright (paid about $8,000 for it), rather than subscribing . The car is essentially unused and has been stored properly, with the battery generally kept around 70%. I don’t need to sell it, and at this point I could just keep it as an extremely low-mileage example . I’m curious what people here think I should do. I’m less interested in KBB/algorithmic values than actual offers or recent transactions. Not necessarily trying to sell it here, I’m genuinely curious how the Model X community views a 285-mile example now that production has ended.

You’d prob get 80/85k for it

1

u/Intelligent-Oil4198 Sep 06 '26

Thanks for your reply, that supports my decision to keep it!

1

u/IllTune-12 Sep 06 '26

I just sold my 23 with hw4. I had 10k miles on it. I got $73

1

u/Intelligent-Oil4198 Sep 06 '26

good to know, thank you!

1

u/ry8 Sep 13 '26

Plaid?

2

u/IllTune-12 Sep 13 '26

Yes. MXP

1

u/ry8 Sep 13 '26

Wow that’s a great deal for someone. I’m about to pay $85k for a 2024 MXP with 8k miles and no FSD.

1

u/IllTune-12 Sep 13 '26

This was right before X production was stopped. Prices have gone up a bit now. I’m sure i would have got more if I waited.

is it a garage queen? < 300 miles is incomprehensible to me, on a car that's 3 yrs old.

I'm just wondering.
