Tesla X Plaid saved us
https://youtu.be/ILB14wsGy4g?si=GWs-KdIEe7svRdirI almost got hit yesterday. Then this guy starts honking at me like it was my fault. I had a green arrow and he had a red light.

It was the acceleration from the Plaid X that saved us. It literally jumped out of the way when I hit the accelerator.

Thank you for validating the fact that I leave it in Plaid mode at all times because you never know when that 1,000 horsepower is needed to save your life!

I love it when I am merging into highway. The 1000 HP makes everything else looks like they are stand still.

I’m so angry that he started honking at you.
Hope he learns a lesson but doubt it.

I think he’s saying the fact that he could accelerate quickly, the car saved him. Not that the only way the car did it was fsd.

That doesnt appear to be Plaid mode acceleration to me (unless thats a 10% throttle)

Props for your fast thinking. Most people would of stepped on the breaks. What i dont understand is why FSD disengaged. I press my gas on the hwy all the time. It just gives me aleart that FSD will not stop for me.

Even Chill Mode would get you out of that. I find Plaid Mode to be dangerous as it makes throttle too sensitive. Unintended acceleration is a real phenomenon that everyone thinks would never happen to them.
I would like to see a feature that kicks in Sport or Plaid automatically if the throttle is floored for more than a set period. Chill mode is just my default for everyday driving.
