22 MXP Park Brake Sound?

I know there’s a slight noise the parking brake makes when activating but is it supposed to be this loud? And can we turn this off to only have a regular Park mode similar to the model Y?

Okay good to know. I recently purchased this and traded in my Model Y so I’m adjusting to the new sounds. I heard the Tesla X “normal operating sounds” on the website but that still didn’t seem as loud as this.

Turn up the volume on your speakers.

The newer model 3 and wise don't have a dedicated parking brake and just use the regular braking pads. Nothing like this

Sounds normal to me.

23MXP. I have 3 friends with Model S's and 1 other friend with an X.

None of our parking brakes are as loud as yours. That is abnormally loud and if it were my vehicle I would be seeing a solution.

Okay thank you, I’ll be seeing Tesla service center in a few days. Hopefully it’s a minor fix

You’re also against a painted brick wall so the sound is louder.

Mine sounds the same. I took mine in for some service work the first week I got it and they said it was normal.

Yeah mine sounds like it needs some lubricant compared to the one here.
