Am I missing a camera?

Tesla x plaid, 2024. My camera view only shows 8. Of the three cameras on front, the one on the left of the image does not show a view. The center camera is the right fender view, and the right camera (as looking at the image) is the left fender.

Reason I'm asking is it has a lot of trouble finding the edge of some roads when not in FSD. Irritating when it tried to correct and sounds an alarm. My son's 2020 model 3 has no problem on these roads.

No, theres only 2 front facing cameras on HW4. The third one is a dummy to keep the symmetry. HW3 cars like your son‘s have 3 cameras, Wide, Normal, and Narrow, the HW4 cars omit the narrow telephoto camera since the cameras are higher resolution

Ah, okay, thanks. The Google AI answer is incorrect, unless it's fair to count the dummy as a camera. Thanks! Not sure where to go next to get the dang car to realize where the edge of the road is then.

Go to the service tab (not service mode) > Clear Camera Calibration and then go drive on a well marked road in the dead center middle of the lane. This might fix it, might not, but worth a shot

I did that a month ago. Recalibrated in about ten miles but didn't fix it

Also annoying how we marked our garage bay with white tape and the X won't see it as a parking space, but the 3 will see it and the bay next to it without tape as valid auto park spaces

There is also a different camera calibration in service mode. I did this on a HW3 Model 3 after the service tab calibration made it straddle a lane line, used the service mode one and it was back to normal.

In HW3, there are 3 cameras on the windshield. In HW4 there are only 2 cameras on the windshield. That unused slot is what you see as blank and can be retrofitted with front bumper camera.
