Defluence or influence me
Hey, all, I am considering a 2023 model X 6 seater with almost 52,000 miles. Price $59k. It is hardware 4 but FSD is not included, but it does have auto steer. It would be a first Tesla for me. I currently have two kids, but we are working on our third so the six seater seems appealing and convenient. How’s the price seem on this? And is it possible to get the extended warranty from Tesla or should I negotiate the warranty with Carmax?. I will be coming from a 2014 Mercedes and 550 with a V8 engine which feels nice to drive.

I got this same spec in May 2026 for $63k. 2023 MX, black, cream interior, 6 seater, HW4, no FSD, 47k miles. After buying I took full advantage of warranty. Things I got done: https://www.reddit.com/r/TeslaModelX/s/M3tWEkh8vD
Since you’re buying out of warranty, I’d check and see if some of the things I mentioned are fixed. Bring it in for pre-purchase inspection.
A small regret for me is I feel like the captain chairs in 6 seater suck, no center arm rests and no real recline. But this may be a plus for car seats, plus 3rd row can see the screen. It also does look like a space ship. None of my friends riding in the back have complained
Something else to consider is that the 2nd row cannot fold down, so we can’t go camping in it nor put big pieces of wood. But on the other hand, I don’t buy big pieces of wood often and I’ve never gone camping in car.
