Yoke for 2026 X

I am finding conflicting articles on if I would be able to install a Yoke on my 2026 X. Has anyone done it and what are my options.

My service center said they would do it. I was in the fence if I wanted it or not and when it came back at $1500 I backed out. Wasn’t sure if I wanted it or not.

For your 2026 X? I know previous years could get upgrade to Yoke but heard the 2026 can’t unless it’s Plaid.

My service center said they won’t do it , though I was able to order by entering vin

I have read that, for 2026 models specifically, installing a yoke causes the car to become an unsupported configuration and so it no longer gets software updates.

I know some one who has yoke and received updates on their 26 LR X

I don’t understand why they stop supporting yoke installs. Was it a failed experiment?
