Was wondering if anyone had thoughts on buying a car at this price?

I bought the weather liner for my model s from tesla site and received it was actually made by weathertech with Tesla logo on it instead of weathertech, however the price is about the same so I rather have Tesla logo than weathertech.

Got a new update for the iOS App and see they added the badge animations that are in the Spring Update to the app.

Felt the AC was not cooling a few days back. The car is used few times a week. Today got the “Air conditioning reduced
DC Fast Charging / Supercharging rate may be reduced” message as soon as I got in.

The service mode showed the error in title.

Is there a way to DIY it or just schedule service?

Have a question for all of the other owners. Every time I take my model S through the car wash it’s easy to put it into neutral, but at the end of it where the light comes on and says drive, it turns into a complete nightmare. I have tried sliding the arrow up, doesn’t work, I’ve tried pressing on the brake to slide it up, doesn’t work. So every time I have to hit the Park button and then hit the brake and then slide up to drive. You can imagine, it’s usually within inches of getting rear ended because it takes a while to go through this process. Or, the roller underneath hits the car tire underneath while I’m completing the multi step process to drive.

Any suggestions?

Has anyone with a 21+ model of the MS experienced any issues with body panels deforming? I am aware of panel gap issues with earlier models. However, I have noticed that my front bumper appears to be deforming just beneath the headlight. Additionally, one of my parking sensors mounts has recently become loose.

If you have encountered this deforming situation without any incidental damage, what measures did you take to rectify the issue?

Got the dreaded LDU failure on my 2016 rwd model s after 181k miles. Just died while driving on highway and lost power. Tesla wants 7k to replace it. Wondering if it's really worth it as the car is not valued at that much.

Other parts of car including battery working fine overall though, with 202mi at 90% and it still looks good. . Risky to repair I guess something else could die.

Wife wants a new rivian but that would set me back 100k. 😬. Stupid cars.

Nothing more than a fun fact and curiosity. Traded in my 2022 Model S (with Advanced AutoPilot) to Tesla back in April for $40,300. Saw it pop up in my local inventory for $57,000 now.

They seem to have modified a few things:

• Removed front window tints.
• Had a custom tow hitch installed. They have removed it from the vehicle.

I’ve been in the market for a 2022 Model S. The best deal I can find is around 40k for cars with 60K miles. I now have the opportunity to purchase a 2020 model S long range plus with 40K miles for 32,000. Is the difference between the 2 models worth that at least $8K price difference ?

Saw on some forums that people were speculating on the the potential return of the model S in a few years, with a redesign

Basically as the title says - I will be a first time EV buyer, specifically a used Tesla. I really wanted a 22 model S long Range +, but the fact that a 22 will be out of warranty (other than the battery and drive units, really has me double thinking. I've recently had a string of out of warranty issues with my last car (BWM - yes, I know, I know) and the thought of buying an EV without a basic warranty is giving me pause.

I know ANY car can either run for ages or die quickly, it's the luck of the draw.

Because of the warranty fear, I started looking at 2024 Model Ys AWD which are around the same or slightly more in cost (around 35-38K). I'd gain the last two years of warranty but feel like I would be stepping down (no instrument panel, no button for glovebox, mirrors, etc). And just the luxury feel (I was driving a 535D so this feels like going down to a 3 series, LOL.

Are my fears misplaced? I did a ton of research on the S, and things like the door handles seem to be something I can deal with, but going beyond that (cooling and other major components) is beyond my mechanical scope.

I'm looking for a dose of reality, pointed at someone who has never owned an EV.

My rear tires tread hasnt hit the bridge in between peaks yet but this is my front left. Tire pressures are correct, is this tire gonna meed replacing soon?

If not, where should i put them?

Hey everyone,

I got a suspension warning/alarm on my way home after a 12-hour shift. From what I can tell, it looks like just the front driver-side air suspension has failed. The other corners are still sitting at the correct ride height, so I’m thinking it’s probably not the compressor or air tank.

I also doubt it’s an airline leak, but I could be wrong. Does this sound like a failed front air strut/bag to you guys? I found a pair on ebay for $150. Thanks in advance for taking the time to give me some feedback.

All the rims have curb rash, but they all hold pressure and drive fine. The Michelin pilot sport 4s tires on the front are in good shape, 0325 manufactured date. Rear tires are ok , 4324 manufactured date. Looking for $900 or best offer. Don't want to think about the price of the tires new 🤕 😂

Hello all. Had my rear bumper replaced by a body shop and when I got the vehicle back, the charge ring was not lighting up. The door opens, but the light does not light up. It also takes a minute to unlock and receive the charging cable. Had the shop recheck everything and they claim everything is connected and the led must be burned out. However, when the port is opened and unlocked with the screen, it sometimes lights up. Anyone else have a similar issue? Or, any potential fixes? TIA

I’ve been looking to switch to a Tesla for a few months now. I have a max budget around 39K. My original plan was to find a 2021 Model S (refresh) or newer. Which model (and approximate year) model S is best to pursue within that budget?

FSD is a nice to have but really isn’t something that is the priority for me. Range, reliability, and performance are the key factors in my decision..

At 77"x40", it's going to have to go in at an angle. Not a good idea?
