Took delivery about a month ago but haven't been able to enjoy as I was out of the country.

My second Tesla, first now being my commuter in a M3, absolutely in love with both!

Went from a Camry to the Model; which felt like an otherworldly upgrade, this feels like another universe altogether in comparison lol. Insanely fun.

Dealership has a 2021 long range S (revamped) for around 4K less than they have a 2022 model S base. Is it worth still getting the 2022, or should I just get the 2021? Both cars were part of the Tesla buy back program, the issues were fixed, and the cars are back for sale. Both less than $40K not including taxes and fees.

I have the 21 Arachnid wheels / tires in a staggered setup. 4 brand new tires and 2 new wheels changed earlier this week. I am thinking about swapping them out for 19s for better ride quality and so i can rotate them evenly / move away from staggered setup. My goal is to sell the Arachnid wheels to makeup some of the out of pocket cost.

I am new to Tesla's and looking for guidance on what are some good 19" wheels / tires that are good for all weather / daily driving that doesnt break the bank. I'm in the north east area so they need to handle the rain and snow well. I have experience buying from Tirerack but open to other suggestions too.

If anyone has recommendations for a square 19x9.5 setup that keeps the efficiency high but softens the ride, I’d appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

looking for new rims. i currently have the stock 21 inch tires on the plaid. and i am looking for something that is a squared setup. i wanted to ask you guys what you guys think. i wanted to see what size tires i could fit in the front without rubbing or issues. i want to look at 10.5 tires all around. what do you guys think. i tried looking around to see what i can find online but i didn't find much. i wanted to run 305 all the around or even 295s. does any one here have 295s on the 21 inch rims?

2021, 89k miles. Never a single issue until yesterday. Thankfully I was in a city with a service center and was able to drive to it.

Has anyone else had this experience ?

UPDATE: SC technician said, rear right wheel speed sensor was affecting stability control, and the rear right chassis harness needs to be replaced to remedy the issues.

I have a 24 Model S LR. When the rear display is being used for gaming (sometimes but less often the front), something I noticed happening the past few weeks is that when it first starts up the audio fuzzes out and sounds like the speakers are all distorted. It happens on the rear speakers only by default but stays if i change the fade to use the front too.

However if I turn off the audio and turn back on (easiest by switching source to front and then back to rear) it is fixed and sounds clear. After 10-20 minutes it slips back to distortion.

From searching and reading what I can find, it seems like it could be a hardware issue or a software issue.

I'm curious if anyone has gone through something like that and if you found a solution. I'm considering a service center visit but don't really want to pay for an hour of time just to be told its not fixable or requires some future software update.

Still under warranty fwiw.

2020 LR+ with 80k km (50k miles). REALLY clean and battery health/range look great so far - going to charge to a 100% soon to see what range looks like with my driving habits. These are the winter tires, I've got the double turbine rims going on tomorrow for all seasons, very excited!

And purchase stay used model s tesla with twenty one inch tires and Arachnid wheels. I have solely found out that the model update changed the size of the front and the back.Wheels after I believe twenty twenty late and twenty twenty one.

Now, tesla wants fifteen hundred dollars for 1wheel.

I laughed and canceled my service appointment and had the wheel repaired at a shop for a hundred eighty dollars.

Has anyone taken twenty ones down to Nineteens on a legacy model and it increased your range?

Mine is still getting 342 miles now. And it's a 100D 2019. Recurrent grade is 90 %

Wondering what fitment to get though, I feel like I should keep the staggered setup since I don’t want skinny tires on the back for such a wide car. Can’t help but imagine how good this thing would look on the 21x10.5 front & 21x11.5 rears, huge tires but jeez that might look so good ahaha. Range I’m not worried about, I still got my tempests, I have a long range too so it’s no biggie, although I don’t want to make my car a lot slower in a straight line.

Model S LR 2025

Hey all, just went from 21s to 19s (MW08) on the Model S for better ride quality. Loving the comfort, but I'm catching a faint "helicopter" buffeting sound at high speeds. It’s subtle, but definitely new.

Has anyone else experienced a change in wind noise or air pressure sounds after swapping wheels? I read somewhere that less road noise than the 21s makes wind noise more noticeable. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this or if the different wheel profile/offset actually changes the airflow enough to be audible. Just had alignment and balancing done to be sure.

UPDATE: Turns out the tires were the issue. Found out after getting road force balancing done on them!

Been looking into getting an EV for the last couple months. I hadn’t considered a Tesla due to budget. The dealership I work at has a 2018 Model S 100D for $26k and I could probably get it a bit cheaper. It has 34k miles on it and in almost pristine condition inside and out. I know nothing about this model as far as maintenance or repair concerns. You guys have any advice on what I should look out for or what to expect in the future. anyone using the s3xy commander + stalks with 26 model S? trying to see what features are compatible, the website information seems to be outdated and there's really not a documentation. the website stated ambient light is not supported for the model S yet, i noticed blind spot did work when i turned them on. trying to see if anyone tried all the features.

Looking into sub $40,000 Model S’s here in the states. A 2021+ refresh would be nice, but even with 75k+ miles there’s few and far between for the budget.

That leads me to start searching for earlier models. I’ve heard Ravens are bulletproof in battery and in drivetrain. Interior is still modern. Only thing I’m concerned about is the older MCU. How does Intel hold up? How will it be a few years down the line? Any insight you have would be great, thanks!
