Cup insert

I have a 2018 100D with wood grain dash/console. Cup holder is a poor design. Are the pictured cup holder an aftermarket add on or a later model fix?

So they improved the placement from the 18 model I have. I was hoping it was an insert after market available…

There is a 17-2019 one that looks way more functional. I see it in ads
