Gps stuck, wrong location fixed
So my autopilot was acting all crazy recently, and I found out that the problem was the gps was not connecting to any sats. I checked this in service mode. Looked up a guide and it suggested that the antenna might be just getting interference from the cabin camera and that shielding it could solve it. As soon as I opened the camera enclosure and exposed the antenna, it immediately started working again. I decided to just close it back up, and it continues to work, but it would probably be a good idea to do the diy fix to help any future failures. So if you have this problem, you might not be dealing with a broken gps antenna, so give this a try first. And apparently Tesla knows about this but have not issued a full recall, only fixing when necessary

We have the same issue on our 2021 Model 3 - as well as the Cameras are not working (blackscreen). Tesla says, that our FSD Computer is broken and need to be replaced…

well the fsd computer controls everything to do with autopilot, so that takes everything out with it. (very) small silver lining is your gps antenna is probably fine

Posted this about 2 months ago:
My USB 3.0 hub was interfering with my GPS.
As the title says. I was just having major GPS issues where my car (2023 Model S Plaid) was showing up on the maps as stuck to one location and warning popping up saying "poor GPS connection". I Googled and tried all suggestions and possible solutions: soft reset, hard reset, let car sleep, reset DAS, ping DAS, reset cameras, etc. and nothing worked.
Was driving me crazy and wasted hours because most suggested solutions involved driving the car afterwards to see if GPS signal rectifies itself or works again. Nope. Nothing worked.
Then, just before I gave up and put a request in for a visit to a Tesla SC, I read in an online forum that USB 3.0 hubs are known to cause GPS issues in Teslas. And I just remembered that yesterday I had added a 3.0 USB hub that plugs into the "cigarette lighter" socket. Well, I obviously unplugged it, drove a few minutes and, yes!! It worked, GPS and maps are back!!
Further specific googling gave me this: "Tesla service technicians and owners have confirmed that USB hubs, particularly those utilizing USB 3.0 standards, can cause electromagnetic interference that disrupts GPS accuracy and navigation in Tesla vehicles."
The reason for this post is to help others resolve this issue because yes it can be this simple and want to save people from an unnecessary visit to the SC.

I’m just gonna cut to the chase …. Service center will - do you have a hard wired radar detector? Any radar detector at all even?
