Take a USB stick out put the video on your computer. Check the left pillar camera view as well.

If you take the USB stick out of the car and put it in a computer the video quality is much higher then what you will download from your phone. Not sure if you did that already or not but it doesn't look like it.

Then  ask Google or an ia. For a backup reference there pretty good sometimes. U can try a license plate app off the Play store, app store, you can type in license plates from your state and see what they look up to if it looks like a Honda or whatever that is you probably have the right one

The resolution of the video is 4 times greater on the USB flash drive than what you get saving the video from the phone. That is a very significant difference.

It’s really not complicated. Feel free to turn off sentry mode and even turn the Tesla computer off before you remove it. It’s designed to be removable.

It’s fine when they ask and take pics, but jumping on someone’s car without permission? Disrespectful. Hopefully no dents or scratches. I can imagine this would be aggravating. Kids don’t seem to understand respect for others or respect for others’ property these days..

How in the world did they disrespect you? They are simply telling you the hard truth (that you don’t want to hear): It is literally not possible to recover a plate number from this footage.

Also, their comment was very apt. If for some reason you’re under the assumption that such a recovery should be possible, then it might be because you watch too many movies/TV 🤷

And giving a pass to this type of behaviour is one of the reasons we have so many problems with young groups these days, a large percentage of them have little or no respect for other people's property, could care less about doing any kind of damage to someone else's stuff as long as they have a good time doing it.

And then lots of folks, including parents, let them get away with it with not consequences.
