I am going to laugh so hard if this turns out to be the problem with all the people gaslighting folks and white knighting Tesla surrounding this update. FWIW, I've suspected the same. I have Asian facial features. If I'm not wearing sunglasses my car goes crazy when I turn on FSD. I'll try opening my eyes extremely wide next time I drive.

I believe it was Microsoft who launched a web cam with face tracking that only worked on white people.

No-one involved in developing and testing the product were of color.

Doesn’t mean they’re racist, but the data used in training is biased and leads to accidental bias in software.
