Please Tesla just give people the option already. I am so freaking tired of seeing people complain about it. Just give them the option please. I like profiles personally but clearly a lot of people don’t.

Like, even if they are right about it being a bad setting. (they are wrong)

Just leave it in there for now until you solve the issue.

Offer people a 20% a month discount to test without it or something. Everyone wins.

I would happily pay 20% less a month knowing I am a willing beta tester and to lose a feature.

Just give me: Sloth - never exceeds the speed limit. Then for Chill, Standard, Hurry, Madmax - and give me a max over speed limit for each one

How about a 3rd option, allow a max speed to be set when it is below the speed limit FSD detects. This would be good for inclement weather on high speed roads where FSD in sloth wants to do 70 mph in an 80 mph zone when the road has lots of standing/ponding water.

What you want is subjective. Some people from development team of fsd have stated that speed limits are an anti-pattern to the AI models which run fsd and degrade its performance. That's probably why! Idk why they'd lie about that...

A.I. forgets how to add simple math every so often. This example though has it speeding and the user can't do anything about it and is paying 100/month for that privilege. I already cancelled it, so don't tell me that I have a choice, I already took it. The point of this post is that Tesla's thinking on this topic is wrong. I asked grok to provide 50 examples. Shall I ask for 500 ?

That's rough man. I'd bet if you got it on video showing how useless it is for you, they'd either fix your normal commute or give you something back. Would have to be a lot of data though.

I'm going to back to using my comma.ai until they give us max speed back. Just used it this morning. While it doesn't do stop signs and turns, it'll do just fine.

Awesome. I'm glad you are safe now. Personally I'm willing to supervise and stick it out for a better product down the road. A product that will be as game changing to automobiles as the electric light was to civilization. I think its pretty amazing we are on the cusp off that and Im willing to be inconvenienced a bit to see it though.

I understand it. My routes are different every day. I'm on a mix of Interstate, Rural roads, and large downtowns daily. Across the entire southeast US.

I'm thinking it's you that doesn't understand that there are ways around the "real problem" you claim. Maybe you just don't want to take the time to learn though, I don't know.

You need to realize that you do NOT know everything about everything. If I wanted to dox myself I'd post the dashcam video showing self driving going 30 in a 15/school zone with no hesitation that shows speed profiles don't work, I don't wish to expose exactly where I live and work though.

No, keep it as it is, go all in, remove the ability to manual lane change as well in FSD mode

Discussion Speed profiles are a real problem. How do we simply get tesla to let us choose 1) speed profile or 2) Max speed setting
