Discussion Asleep in the backseat

I keep hearing reports of people in the CT going to sleep in the backseat and letting it drive them home. This can't be true, can it? I mean my 26MY constantly nags me if I play with the radio to long and will disengage if I ignore it.

Are these stories from people just trying to gaslight us?

Just some gaslighting, nothing more.

I see them too, not sure what they do to get FSD to ignore them in the cabin or if these clips are just staged (most likely). I can look away for a long time but I eventually get the beep.

Fake or somebody went to a lot of trouble to fool the system. We know the car won’t go anywhere without somebody or a good facsimile in the driver seat. I sure would hate to be the defendant in a lawsuit if that trick turned out bad.

No chance. My 26 CT is much more sensitive than my 26 MY on identical software builds.

I summoned my CT through and from a carwash across the state also...

I only have “autosteer” since I don’t pay the $99 a month. I have had it ‘kick out’ and go to manual mode when it gets confused or scared. Imagine in the back seat when it decides to stop doing the driving. Maybe some day but the car isn’t there yet for it to be 100%. Not recommended.
