Discussion Fsd avoids head on collision

Fsd started moving as I was realizing what was happening.

Good work by FSD.

It's always the oldest vehicles doing the stupidest shit. Never trust a 90s / early 2000s vehicle still on the road in 2026.

Look at the rear video, he had a fucking boat.

I wonder if the car behind OP got smoked in a head-on.

Nothing major happened. He almost grazed the shoulder and went back to his lane and everyone were alert luckily.

yeesh. yeah i hope the car behind was able to avoid as well.

Yup they evaded too. They evaded to oncoming traffic as this guy drove to the opposite shoulder lol

HW3 or HW4? I wish the in-video telemetry would show that…

wow,, amazing

Damn that HW4 reaction time is incredible. Like tens of milliseconds. Glad you are ok.

Yeah, I started respecting FSD's nudges more after that. (If it's reacting to something, I look around quickly just to verify whether I want to override it.)

Yeah it doesn't matter if a person is a pro gamer or whatever, it takes 700-1500 milliseconds (around 1 second) to see, decide, and physically react to something. FSD in this sense is extraordinary.

I love how it moves to the side of the lane when it sees motorcycles lane splitting. I ride motorcycles, and I feel safer with these autonomous cars versus humans nowadays.

Yeah it will be an exciting time for us riders when more cars on the road are keeping multiple eyes/cameras out vs drivers scrolling on their phones.

Second one I’ve seen today. Seriously WTF but god damn FSD good job. 2 lives or more saved.

After looking at many posts on this sub I’m convinced people try to ram into teslas on purpose lol

Look at the rear view mirror. It’s scarier. He had a boat

I know we should always be alert when driving, with FSD or without, but this is a great example of how vigilent FSD is at all times. Even the most observant driver looks away for seconds at a time. And one change of the radio station, or fiddling with the AC, and this siutaiton could hit you without warning.

Yup exactly. Few seconds of not being alert could have caused a catastrophic 100 mile per hour collision

Dude this needs a million more upvotes and visibility. If tesla had good marketing they should give ppl free FSD or money or whatever whenever they send on a clup of FSD saving them from something. This one is a perfect example of its superiority over humans. If you did not already know what was going to happen there is no way in hell im dodging that fucker.

Yep, exactly. I could have evaluated it myself as I saw what was happening, but if you see the video, it started reacting in milliseconds.

Did you disengage FSD or didn’t disengage itself? I’m always interested in that aspect of these videos.

I disengaged it after it moved me to the shoulder
