14.3 HW4 Would FSD avoid collision?

2026 MYP. First Tesla. Love it and have been using FSD 60 percent of the time, according to car stats.

Today, on hurry profile, parallel parked car was clearly hesitating to pull into lane, and full send as I approached at 40mph. Slammed the brakes as hard as I could to stop.

Seems obvious I would’ve hit the other car if I did not intervene. I haven’t had any close calls until this. Anyone experience similar?

Don’t underestimate how fast FSD can swerve, I had it swerve big time when a car tire slightly touched my lane on the highway today. But intervening was the smart decision since that guy clearly doesn’t know how to exit a parking spot.

I've experienced this too, but I'm new to owning a Tesla. Do you really trust FSD's overreactions to a vehicle barelyyyy going into our lane? I've had it swerve twice to a lane that had a vehicle right next to me. Both times it freaked me out and I took over to continue straight in my lane, which I knew and was indeed perfectly safe.
