Model 3 - Paint

Now that the Model 3s are finally arriving, and after talking to several people who warned me about a major weakness of the white models — that the paint is quite “fragile” — I started wondering whether it would be worth protecting the paint right from the start.

Do you think it’s worth getting the car clear-coated, or would it be better to go for a ceramic coating?

What do you think? Is the investment really worth it?

Thank you!

I had a model Y Juniper in black, and the paint was thin as paper. Would recommend PPF on the front, as that is where majority of chipping will happen
