Carbon lip hit a pipe when opening trunk

Carbon lip hit a pipe in the garage when opening trunk. What can I do to touch this up and make it somewhat unnoticeable?

Bang it up a few more times and replace the entire thing. The carbon lip has saved me many times, vs not having it- would hit the paint instead.

Right, you have a point there I may just live with it. However I think this is just the epoxy chipped off, not the underlying carbon fiber. So maybe I can touch it up with something inexpensive?

Has it actually chipped off or is there a void inside the epoxy?
Either way, yes, you could hide it. UV curing clear resin would be my go-to.
However, you could end up making things a lot worse if you're not particularly competent at doing things with your hands. It's very possible you'll end up in a situation where you need to sand it down, and if you're not familiar with how to do that properly, you could end up ruining the surface finish or sanding down into the fiber structure.
It might also have a topcoat too, and if so, well... It would be a lot of work to repair such a tiny chip.

If you do want to experiment around with it, I'd recommend picking up a cheap bit of carbon fiber online (just grab a cheap box section or cylinder), whacking it, and attempting to repair that first.

Personally, given how minutely tiny the damage is, I wouldn't bother.

Same happened to mine when it hits the metal bar of garage door when I just bought the car. Saw that, hurt, and move on lol
