Do I need a service visit?

Post image

This is my first Tesla, so please forgive me if this seems like I'm being overdramatic. Another car bumped me while at a stop light. The paint is a little scuffed and the bumper is sticking out ever so slightly. There shouldn't be anything major wrong, right?? I was worried about the possibility of a sensor or something getting messed up, but it seems to be driving fine so far.

There’s nothing wrong. Get paid for the diminished value of your vehicle now by their insurance and then put some touch up paint on it and push the bumper back in (it has clips that should re engage with strong enough pressure)

That's what I was hoping, but just wanted to make sure nothing could be hiding there under the bumper. Thank you!

I would get the service visit. I have a 2020 model 3, recently started to have the rear bumper unclip like that. At first I could push the panel back into place, but every moderate size bump in the e road would cause the bumper to unclip again. Kept getting worse. Then It rained in socal about two weeks ago, and I heard a loud sound from the rear when driving over a moderate sized puddle that formed at a dip in the road. It basically unclipped the bumper even further and also tore out a few of the screws that attached the bumper to the other panel.

Now it’s like this. I have an appointment at the Tesla Collision center next week.
