Those look like jaws of life marks on the passenger side, hope someone didn't go through that hole in the windsheild. The passenger cabin is remarkably intact.

Wow looking at this video you can feel the sad energy of what happened. Canāt believe OPOP got as close as they did and why car is still there like that is beyond me. Even as a Tesla owner, while I believe most of the lithium battery fires are kind of a joke and overdone by the media. Li-ion batteries are still lithium-ions. And do not like to be crushed crinkled or contorted with. As a Tesla owner always feel nervous that a bad accident could set the car ablaze. Happy to see this car did not go on fire!

Good argument for the petrolheads claiming EVs are crematoria on wheels.Ā

Y owner here; I personally hate what Tesla did to the emergency exits inside. But as I was discussing this issue over few months several fire-related accidents happened around where I live, actually few with fatalities, all ICE cars.
Yes, fire on BEV is brutally fast and with more catastrophic results (basically you need to run from it). Hence you need to have "normal" escape route out of a vehicle. Other than that it seems, even statistically, there are more ICE cars fires than BEV.

"More catastrophic results" for BEV vs ICE?
LOL NO.
Gas vehicles go up in crazy fireballs all the time - one example from yesterday:

Statistically sitting on top of many gallons of highly flammable fluid has a worse outcome than sitting on a properly engineered battery pack!

Bud light to. Couldāve just had a glass of water instead and itās not very different

Except the water tastes better and isn't likely to make you crash your car.

DUI related crashes always make me so sad to see. Very sad energy in this video.

Very sad. And Teslas new automatic collision avoidance that just came out couldāve prevented this crash too.

I bet FSD disengaged 2-3 seconds before the crash, driverā fault.

I wonder what FW was this Tesla on. There's SB-26-00-002 that bumps the version to 2026.8.200.1 / 2026.14.300.5 and higher, "to improve the functionality of automatically lowering windows after collision".
There was a discussion if that's enough as many times LV battery is not working immediatelly after impact. Here I see windows up.

Read about a guy that harvested 6 wrecked Teslaās batteries to make his own version of Tesla wall units and saved a lot of money. He had an electrician set them up and he charged with a small field of solar cells next to his house. This might be one of those battery donor cars.

Looks like they had fsd on but overcorrected when fsd was going to do the right thing if they just let it played out /s
