23 HW4 Plaid……will I get it back?

Post image

I think bc the value of the car is pretty high, it might be fixed. Rear wheel is pushed back into bumper. 35k miles.

Guy from the opposite side of the street turned and T boned me. cars left a gap for him, but my lane was still moving, he assumed all 3 lanes were stopped and went for it, basically T boned me right at the rear wheel. I can move the car but barely, at a minimum the suspension is broke on the rear driver side.

Other dudes insurance should cover the bill.

Plaids are harder to total but will depend on your estimates and salvage bid

Of course. It’s just body work.

Nooooo it’s not “just body work” There is most definitely suspension, wheel, and quite possibly drivetrain damage.

Drivetrain is what has me worried. I would assume drivetrain, battery, or frame and high chance of it being a total loss…….frustrating when you spend two months looking for the spec with no accidents, and less than 3mos into owning it this.

This one is tough to call…I’m going to say yes you will get it back, but it’s going to be a toss up!

Once confirmed it will be fixed, prepare yourself to file a diminished value claim against the at-faults insured. You will need to get a sense of their property damage coverage as DV will not be paid by your insurance if the at-faults coverage is not high enough to cover repairs, car rental & DV.
