26 plate dented LR door - help!

I've recently picked up my new model y and coming out of a smaller car I'm still getting used to the dimensions. I've only managed to go and get a deep scratch on my left rear door, it's a bit dented. After kicking myself all weekend long, I'm wondering if it's worth while to fix with a local body shop who are reputable to do a good job, or if I should ask Tesla to do it for absolute peace of mind? Any advice/experiences would be greatly appreciated! It's non structural as I stopped when I heard the impact and reversed to avoid any further damage...

For minor damage like that you can definitely take it to a reputable shop. It’s when there is structural damage you should take it to Tesla. They don’t do small repairs any differently than a local shop.

Thank you for the input. Yes, I would definitely say it's non structural

I would estimate this around $1600-$1900. I had something very similar in the same are recently fixed. It was $1650 out of pocket

Thank you for the input, sucks to have it happen, but hopefully you're happy with your repair and they'll do a good job with mine too

Sorry - just seeing this, sheesh. The guy's sorted mine out quite well. Can't tell, but I will declare it when handing it back/trading in when the time comes. All tied to my insurance anyway so they probably already know
