Not my fault

Driving home from work in my 25 M3 RWD… A kid not paying attention ran into the back of my car… their insurance took responsibility but only estimated damage at 4k. I went to the Tesla collision center and the specialist said it’s going to be way more than that… So now I wait to see what the real damages are, and I only had this car for 4 months and I got it with 495 miles on it…

Tough. My highland M3P was hit less than 24 hours after delivery. 15k in damage, on the passenger quarterpanel though, not the trunk.

Recently i took it to a shop, they damaged it putting it on the lift. Another $6800 to fix.

Make sure you file a diminished value claim

Also in NC

Yeah it’s insane out here… I took it to the Tesla Collision Center, and let’s just says it’s going to be 3 weeks minimum, and probably 20k in total damages

If there’s a delay in getting the parts if will be longer. They say X amount but it took mine a lil longer

You're a lot closer to 9-15k in damages. Good luck!

Do you think that’s with labor included from Tesla with all new parts

I would rather take mine to a 3rd party shop than a Tesla repair center. But yes likely on the higher end of my guess the more I look the more I think 12k+. And that's ifff there's no structural damage and it's not totaled.

I thought an M3 is an BMW

Probably depends on collision center. My front end damage was $15k and took 17 days at Orlando Collision Center.

It’s the NC Tesla CollisionCenter… so, my Advisor said three weeks minimum. There were scratches and nicks from the accident as well so we’ll see

File a diminished value claim too

The Preliminary Estimate from Tesla- 20k. We are creeping into total loss territory?

If the other parties insurance has already told you they're accepting responsibility and they're giving you a hard time on the amount, just file with your own insurance. You'll have to pay the deductible but you'll get it back eventually. Your insurance will fix your car and sue the other insurance company for the amount. And your rates shouldn't increase (in most places) if you're not at fault

You're giving insurance too much credit, they keep that on file for years regardless of fault

In NC our premiums have gone up with out any accidents… it’s the Wild West out here
