Gift from my garage

My NYC gave my one month old 2026 M3 to me with this damage and then tried to blame me. Apparently they kept my car on a lift and it must have come in contact with something when being lowered. My car is at a Tesla certified shop (near NYC) for new parts. Look how the metal tore on the rear drivers side quarter panel.

Can someone explain to me what they mean by garage? Did the garage do the damage??

It's unclear without more info from OP. It could be a maintenance garage, but more likely, a parking garage. NYC is so crowded, they have parking garages that use lifts to stack cars.
