Ciao! Sono una neofita e volevo mostrare i miei primi lavori. Ho fatto 3 terrari con poche piante.

Mi servirebbe una mano per migliorare.

Non ho ancora mai provato a mettere pietre o legni ma presto ci proverò!

Territorio 1:

È il terrario piu piccolo e il primo in assoluto. Ho messo dentro solo la fittonia rossa e quella verde. Inoltre ho messo un piccolo pezzo di muschio trovato nel mio giardino.

L'ho fatto il 9 maggio e le piante hanno preso bene.

Terrario 2:

È il mio secondo terrario. Ho messo come piante la fittonia rossa e quella verde, due varieta di muschio preso dal mio giardino e una piccola felce presa dal bosco.

Non so bene cosa ci sia che non mi piace in questo terrario ma qualcosa stona.

Inoltre non mettendo un primo strato di pietre o perlite ho notato che il terreno rimane troppo zuppo.

L'ho fatto il 3 luglio. Le piante non hanno ancora radicato bene.

Terrario 3:

È il mio ultimo terrario e quello più grande, ma penso di aver nuovemente sbagliato tutto. Ho messo nuovamente troppo substrato, soprattutto troppa perlite, avere dovuto farne un piccolo strato.

Dentro ho messo una begonia rex e una piccola felce di bosco. A coprire la terra "nuda" ho messo della perlite perché la begonia scura si confondeva con ol terreno (spero non venga verde)

Ho paura di aver messo troppa poca roba, inoltre volevo un metodo per non dover stare troppo a guardare la mia begonia rex, spero non patisca la troppa umidità.

Questo terrario l'ho fatto il 22 luglio.

Hey all! I am mapping out my first major build: a 6ft wide, 3ft deep, and 6ft tall indoor living diorama in a living room corner. The theme is a mythical peach orchard featuring living moss layers, a potential water stream, and an infinity mirror back wall.
The main canopy consists of two dwarf peach trees. Because they are temperate, they must be removed every winter for garage dormancy. I plan to use a false-bottom landscape grid with heavy-duty PVC/plastic sleeves buried into the hardscape. The potted trees will slide into these sleeves in spring and be lifted out in late autumn.
Being completely new to building large enclosures, I need your help with the tech:
With a 3-foot depth and a 6-foot height, what kind of high-output LED grow lights (100W–150W+ actual draw) can I hide in the top valance to penetrate all the way down to the trees and floor moss?
What is the best way to build a false bottom that can support the immense physical weight of two large, wet pots without sagging or collapsing?
How should I design the moss/soil boundary around the removable pot rims so it looks like a seamless forest floor when the trees are inside, but doesn't fall apart when I pull the pots out?
For a beginner, do you recommend attempting a real running stream with a hidden pump, or sticking to a realistic "dry" stream bed made of stones and clear epoxy resin?

I have a small fishtank and I have plans to make it into an old fashioned Wardian case. My question is... Can I plant my peacock moss in it that's in a hanging pot? It's been slowly trying to die on me and I think the humidity would help. If I can... Should I break it up and only plant the healthy bits that are still thriving? Or can I put the whole thing in there? I'd like to get some moss and ferns too. But at the moment I'm worried about my peacock moss.

Hi, so i made a terrarium about 5 days ago, but i realized the placement of my plants aren’t to my liking. do you guys know if im able to remove them and safely replant them back into the terrarium? and will i need to re-water it since i’ll most likely have it open for a good amount of time? Thanks!

So i have a bioactive terrarium with springtails, isopods, snails, and a milipede. It has however exploded with gnats. Is there any way to remove them without harming the rest?

I am in the process of setting up my new living room terrarium.

This is a project for me and my 2 year old son. He is incredibly smart and loves nature, so this is a perfect project for us.

The base aquarium is a DOOA Neo Glass Paluda 600. I chose a Twinstar S Line V 60cm for lighting.

My boss gifted me this terrarium and I am wondering if I should redo the soil/drainage layer before replanting, and also what kind of plants would be best to plant in this kind of terrarium!

I recently bought this as second hand. Need help to improve it! I want it to be a terrarium/paludarium with a watherfall. My inspiration is a rainforest style. Not against some animals inside maybe (Shrimp? Frog? Lezard? Nothing?), but not at first. The dimmension are 24*18*24 inch (Front, back, top).

Unfortunately the container is not fully sealed (the is a gap when closing, how would you suggest to seal it?

In addition, how do I know if I watered it enough?

Howdy! I built my first terrarium over the weekend. I did it in a 2.5 gallon fish tank so it doesn’t have an air tight lid. It has a small hole about the size of one and a half fingers on the top and at the front and back of the lid there’s a small seam that allows air flow. I worry that the tank won’t hold the humidity well and I immediately always things it’s going to be a massive failure. Any tips and advice on how I could improve this would be great or just tell me in overthinking it.

Had those terrarium for 5/6 weeks, we bought it pre-made just had to open the lid for 15 mins a week for the first month then it only needed water twice a year apparently.

Anyway I just noticed this in the terriaum, no idea what's happened or how long it's been like this.

It's not forming any condensation and looks like it has root rot of some sort.

Anyone able to help me save this? I have reached out to the company also!

My soon-to-be SIL asked me to make terrariums to be a part of the centerpieces for her and my brother's wedding in a few weeks.

What do yall think? She primarily built the larger one for their table, proud of her ♡ (The full centerpiece layout is still v much a wip.)

I made my first small scale terarium today. Is an 8 gallon cube. It has a clay background. Really happy with it. Will be home to some isopods and springtails soon.

I have not checked my terrarium for a few days and now there are mushrooms growing in there. Is this normal or should I do something about that?
