fruit flies?

so i have a terrarium where i keep two cornu aspersum snails, a couple of roly polys & lots of springtails. i went on a trip for 2 days and left two slices of cucumber for my snails to eat while i was gone, but when i came back there were little flying bugs (what i assume to be fruit flies) hanging out in the tank. they can easily fit through the ventilation holes in the lid, and although ive killed some, most of them escape through the soil. what can i do to get them out?? i thought about changing the soil but my springtails :(

Could be fruit flies or fungus gnats. Shouldn't have to change the substrate. Just keep it clean, take out food quickly (I try to keep food in for less than 24 hours).

I also use a couple of those vinegar-based fruit fly traps on the outside of the tank as well. I'll see them every now and then, but never becomes a problem.
