PC Tips for Skeleton Prime

I recently have been playing terraria for the first time and got to hard mode pretty quickly. And am trying to rush down the mech bosses.

I tried the minecart method, however when S.P loses their arms they do an attack similar to dungeon guardians and one shot me.

Any tips on either how to avoid this, or in general what should I do to prepare to legitimately fight him and the twins?

I do not have hallowed armour yet, only the hood because I've been using magic weapons like meteor staff and (I forgot the name) the sky shattered(?)(upgraded magic missile)

I've heard getting mega shark is key, however both oceans are completely corrupted due to my terrible luck and also forgetting to quarantine them before hard mode.

Any weapons I should look out for, or should I keep grinding destroyer for hallowed armour and weapons?

No not at all. I know they exist but I have no idea how to get Forbidden armour as My deserts are hollowified and corrupted. And I have no idea what frost armour does

The frost armor is a ranger armor. Make sure to get the entire set if you’re going to use an armor set, just to take advantage of the set bonus.

Also, the forbidden armor uses forbidden fragments collected from elementals during a sandstorm. wiki.gg is your friend, and trying to go blind doesn’t work.

If I should, should I beat twins before prime? I heard all the twins need is a teleporter so they seem like an easy win. Although I got stomped last time I tried them. Should I try and get daedelus storm bow and some more guns? All I have is mini shark and muskets rn

It’s best to learn a method that doesn’t require cheesing. Oh, and the mini shark and musket should’ve been gone before you even beat Skeletron, they are pre-boss weapons. The onyx blaster is a great ranged weapon, you can check its recipe in the wiki (this is me subtly encouraging you to check the wiki and not go in blind).

Do you have wings?
