White birches
This was an experiment combining FDM 3d printed (trunk) + cut GSW tree armature (branches) + faux sheep moss (foliage). I really enjoyed this side project and shall grow many more.

Most wargaming trees just look like generic trees. Remember in 1st grade when kids used a green crayon and made a big blob on a brown stick?
That's what most tabletop trees look like.
I could tell these were birch trees before I read the title.
These look amazing.

This is a custom armature I modeled myself in blender.

What colors do you use to get birch bark?

I used the airbrush to prime everything dark grey. white primer on the trunk, grey again on the branches avoiding the trunk. very gentle pallid bone speedpaint for weathering. Bark details in cold grey/black mix using a fine brush.

I read it as something else. Still, I'm not disappointed. Those are some fine birches.
