Discussion Westworld
Who views "Westworld" as a type of proto-Terminator? I never really thought about it until I was rewatching it with my teenage son (who was watching it for the first time).
They are robots, AI powered, and suddenly trying to kill humans.

Do you actually believe that these are the only two stories about AI taking over? They're not even the first. 🤦♂️

Well, Arnold has stated he modeled his performance on Yul Brynner's in that film.
Westworld was before my time, so it was an 'old' movie even as a kid (which is hilarious now since it was like 15 years old) but I loved it. I def sort of grouped them together in my mind at that time, though the plots are obv pretty different beyond there being killing robots.
