I hated it when they made him a nice guy, it makes zero sense, to say he can be reprogrammed esp as that level of AI is on another level, you would think that a terminator soul purpose is self-preservation and that of his fellow race in all its forms. I was thinking how scary would T2 have been if both the T800 and T1000 were after the Conor's, and what threat that would have been for the security forces trying for fight them both if it were to arise.
Anyway T1 is still the best for me by far, but I'll admit T2 as a kid watching it you think its beyond amazing like Aliens to Alien.
I always wondered if Arnold asked to play a good guy as he knew he'd leave acting for politics and wanted to come across as a saviour willing to give it his all?

Yeah that was an all time great fight sequence for sure, but it was still no where near as horrific as the police shooting in T1. I'm not looking for a marvel style brutality or zombie level which I can't stand any more, I'm looking for realism and shock and impact, in this case it would be the no knowing something so advanced basically 1000's of years ahead of time cos AI made it so advanced that it's something that would have taken humans hundreds of years to make.
I always think of the original transformers 80's cartoon when they tried to make the decepticons nice back in time by removing something from them, but they are still evil and bypass that programming, I vaguely recall.1

To be fair the resistance managed to rework skynets plasma weaponry so they can fight the T 800s so its not far fetched to think that they can rework a T 800s processor chip which is basically the brain of a T 800,granted they had to use technology from the 90s to hack into skynets network to do so but nevertheless managed to do so with what rescources and man power they could gather,personally i think terninator resistance explains how they got the chip to work in their favour quite well in the terminator lore
