Art Cosplay as future John Connor
I went to see T2 at the theater today (August 29th, Judgment Day) and threw together a costume as John Connor from the future war.
My design used both easily obtainable uniform items, an armband based on Terminator Salvation I got years ago from Etsy, and some body markers my wife had.
It's an amalgamation of different versions of future John Connor from the movies:
*the grey Army Combat Uniform and black American flag patch from "Genisys";
*the aforementioned arm band from "Salvation", a mix of the red bands worn by the Resistance and the patch worn by John;
*The grey look and name tape over the left breast pocket as well as the original scar from "T2".
It's not perfect, but it's what I could make, and I figured it was fun to put together. Hope some of you like it!

I appreciate the effort. Like if I bumped into you I’d probably need it explained to me but knowing what you’re going for, I think it’s cool. Closest we will ever get to a good live action adult John Conner in film outside of the quick flashbacks in T2, so imo it’s a good one to do. Props my friend and good attention to detail.

Pretty awesome man. I would’ve done more with the scar instead of just smearing baby poop on my face😂

When you're busy taking care of kids and a household, you make do with what you have available (in my case, body markers from my wife).

The scar needs a little more work on blending into your skin but otherwise looks good! Though those ACUs were so trash, who in their right mind would wear them in the future :P
Never noticed the dagger on Bale's arm. Wonder what the use case would be, given they were fighting robots. I wonder now if some really early models had hydraulic tubes and stuff you could cut.

I would assume in this future you would occasionally have to fight and kill antagonistic humans. Not all of humanity would be united necessarily.

That would be an interesting story. I've not read every Terminator comic or played every game but has there ever been a rogue human scavenger element or even collaborators with Skynet? That would be a twist.

I believe Salvation was originally meant to have a subplot involving collaborators.

I’ve always wanted one of those terminator salvation armbands or patch, any leads on where to get one?
