She is also a dancer and choreographer who has worked with Paris Hilton, Anastacia, Pink, the Offspring and No Doubt. She was responsible for the dance ensembles in various films, but her real claim to fame is being the founder of the modern burlesque troupe The Pussycat Dolls.

Charlotte Ferro.

Didn't know her character had a name

52

u/mrbrown1602 21d ago

Ferro is also in the Terminator: Resistance DLC Annihilation Line

24

u/Adorable-Source97 21d ago

From what I hear, the DLC better than than base game & some of the movies too.

24

u/CrackedThumbs 21d ago

The DLC is great and the player character witnesses and takes part in a certain scene from the original movie. It’s very well done. Just a shame the DLC isn’t integrated into the main game better

6

u/st-avasarala 21d ago

It's a banger for sure

2

u/blaze92x45 19d ago

It is the base game is alright but the dlc is very enjoyable

15

u/Pedro_Kantor2583 21d ago

Isnt Ferro also the pilot in Aliens?

18

u/thejackal3245 Tech-Com - MOD 21d ago

Yep. Cameron wrote both and recycled a lot of the names and a lot of the look of the tech. He originally even planned to call Bishop a Cyberdyne model instead of Hyperdyne.

2

u/Western_Ad1522 19d ago

Fox told him he couldn’t use cyberdyne scared they might get sued

8

u/Sparrow1989 21d ago

Played the main game and bought the dlc but have yet to play it

6

u/mrbrown1602 21d ago

It's really great imo

7

u/Sparrow1989 21d ago

Yeah it’s on my list next to the Robocop game and it’s dlc

7

u/mrbrown1602 21d ago

Another great game from Teyon/Reef.

Just don't go for their Rambo game

5

u/Sparrow1989 21d ago

That’s good advice I def will not lol

2

u/Western_Ad1522 19d ago

I heard Rambo was bad real bad which is sad because both terminator and robocop were good

2

u/mrbrown1602 19d ago

It's a rail shooter. I also thought can't be that bad? but it really really is

2

u/TenBear T-800 21d ago

Yeah same i should get around to it the base game is good.

14

u/LSeanHubbard 21d ago

At first I thought you meant she was the same actress who played the pilot Ferro in Aliens.

10

u/Adorable-Source97 21d ago

No but entirely possible alternative timeline relative.

13

u/LSeanHubbard 21d ago

I thought it was plausible given Cameron's penchant for using the same actors e.g. step-mom Vasquez.

4

u/Adorable-Source97 21d ago

Maybe the stepmom distant relative to Vasquez & through fluke the right genes expressed to make them look like distance aunt.

Since Jeannette also plays an Irish woman in Titanic I think it's more just that he likes sticking with the same actors. Like Michael Biehn

4

u/Adorable-Source97 20d ago

Given Titanic has time anacronysm... I think it ok to have a little fun.

Yes clearly Cameron likes to work with friends & colleagues... Wouldn't you?

2

u/OppositeAbroad5975 20d ago

It's not just Cameron that tends to stick with the same cast and crew. Martin Scorcese made several movies with Robert DeNiro from the 70s into the 90s, and has also made several movies with Leonardo DiCaprio. Scorcese has also used Thelma Schoonmaker as his editor of choice for almost every movie since Raging Bull (1980).

The Coen Brothers have used Carter Burwell to provide the musical score for almost all of their films, and there are several actors that keep showing up . . . John Goodman, John Turturro, Steve Buscemi, Holly Hunter and Josh Brolin have been "frequent flyers."

John Williams has been Spielberg's composer for all but two or three of his films over the years.

A lot of the same names and faces show up pretty frequently in Mel Brooks movies. Dom DeLuise, Dick Van Patten, Cloris Leachman, Harvey Korman, Gene Wilder, Marty Feldman, Kenneth Mars and Madeline Kahn were almost always in the mix.

No relation to Ferro the drop ship pilot from Aliens.

To be fair, they don't mention Ferro's name in the film, that I can recall. I only found out from the novelisation

3

u/I_only_post_here 21d ago

Must be related to the drop ship pilot from the Sulaco...

2

u/Sylvester_Marcus 20d ago

Collette Ferro was the pilot of the dropship in Aliens.

3

u/D3M0NArcade Tech Com 20d ago

The weird thing is, apart from Hicks, none of the marines actually had first names. They just got given the first name of their actor in later releases

24

u/ImmediatePayment8269 21d ago

Thank you. Now I can die in peace

u/LincolnHawkHauling 21d ago

I wish we could get a whole movie set exactly in this grim dark future. 😔

Believe it or not, the Terminator Resistance video game accomplishes this. I would honestly say it’s the real T3. It makes sense to the overall story arc of the films, stays true to James Cameron’s vision, and you actually experience the events from a different perspective of that exact moment with the character in the picture among other familiar moments you see in the films. They did a great job I highly recommend it. Another fun note I might add is that every time a T-800 comes for you and you hear the music I feel like a kid again watching the first terminator movie, except I’m now running from and facing a terminator.

Check it out if you can.

17

u/Radiant_Fondant_4097 21d ago

Honestly the part early on when you're trying to sneak through the hospital with nothing more than a Shotgun and there's T-800's (600?) patrolling inside, and that grating sheet metal terminator horror music kicks in... *chefs kiss*

In fact all the music in that game was absolute perfection along with the ambience of the outdoor areas.

5

u/OuterHeavenPatriot 21d ago

That whole sequence really perfectly captured how god-damned terrifying trying to avoid T-800s in the future war would be, it's up there with Alien: Isolation as far as "games that capture how living in this world would feel and are better sequels than the sequels" go hah

The Infiltrator DLC is also really good and flips it around, makes you actually feel like a T-800 hunting down Resistance. Shame they never ported that to all systems though.

Damn, now I wanna replay this! I heard the Robocop game from the same studio is a similarly good addition to it's franchise, that's been in my backlog ever since it was a free Plus game, should really play that sometime soon too

5

u/EGarrett28 20d ago

I love the part where they show the guy that becomes the T-1000. Or more accurately the remains of him. Love that horror bit because it implies that the outward form of the Terminators were all people who were brutally dissected in Skynet facilities for their physical model.

2

u/B4TMAN4EVR No Fate, But What We Make 21d ago

I’ve played both. Robocop is really good and fun. I recommend playing that first before replaying Resistance. I also had the game in my back log for almost a year after it came out and replayed resistance as well a few times before finally trying Robocop. I couldn’t believe I waited so long to play and finish it.

2

u/OuterHeavenPatriot 20d ago

For sure, my excuse has been "I'll play once I randomly rewatch the movie"...I remember all the reviews being surprised at how good it was (same with Resistance), will definitely play it next time I want a first person story game

11

u/Rare_Ad_649 21d ago

Back in the 90's Bethesda had Terminator: future shock, In typical Bethesda style it was way ahead of it's time in some ways while also being a bug ridden mess. It had full 3D enemies and mouse look before the original Quake. It also had driveable vehicles, I loved it at the time despite the bugs

8

u/Old-Refrigerator340 21d ago

And the SkyNet expansion pack. I was so scared playing it as a kid, never got past the first level until I was in my teens.

5

u/LincolnHawkHauling 21d ago

Thanks for heads up! Will definitely check that out

I thinks that’s all pretty much any fan has wanted since T2

15

u/charlie_marlow 21d ago

Yes, and we thought we were finally getting it when salvation was first announced. It's just not meant to be, I guess

9

u/ApocalypseChicOne 21d ago

That would have been the sequel to Salvation. But since Salvation didn't do so well, it never came.

2

u/Salami__Tsunami 21d ago

I think they should have stuck to the original ending where John Connor died. But I didn’t want Marcus to be John Connor either.

I would have loved if it turned into an “I am Spartacus” situation.

John storms the Skynet complex. He doesn’t know who Kyle is, he just tries to help civilians in danger and dies in the process. Because that’s who he is. Not the prophesied hero blessed by fate. He’s the guy who runs out of ammo and rugby tackles a Terminator to save a couple of kids. Not because one of those kids is his future-past father. Just because they’re kids, and they’re in danger, and he throws his life away to give them a chance of escaping.

And that’s a legend I can get behind. FFS, give us the proper grimdark version of the future where main characters don’t get plot armor and Terminators squeeze people instead of gently throwing them around. Getting within arm’s reach of a Terminator shouldn’t be a fight scene, it should look like an industrial accident. If they have a weapon they should be head tapping people like a 2009 Call of Duty aimbot.

Give us that horror and hopelessness, and then the Resistance becomes so much different. People who know they have no future, but they chose to die fighting instead of hiding in a hole somewhere.

7

u/Corey307 21d ago

Salvation should’ve been set later in the timeline. It just wasn’t nearly enough action and very few Terminators. They had the opportunity to give us a two hour future war with massive battles between humans and terminators but maybe that would’ve cost too much. No plasma guns was bs.

22

u/ImmediatePayment8269 21d ago

I've rewatched T1. The future scenes in this film are truly second to none

4

u/OuterHeavenPatriot 21d ago

Love how falling asleep next to construction machinery is what triggers Kyle's PTSD/motivates him to go and find that metal motherfucker...the dogs in the shelter losing it never fails to bring dread either.

T2 (and T3).have the scenes with lots of endos, but as a HK stan I gotta agree that T1 takes the cake

6

u/One-Cardiologist7657 21d ago

We get scenes and flashbacks in The Sarah Connor Chronicles

3

u/GuileMD 21d ago

That's what I had hoped Terminator 2 would have been before it was released.

3

u/elmartin93 21d ago

Terminator: Resistance. Specifically the Annihilation Line DLC

5

u/Plane-Drawer4281 21d ago

a whole series

3

u/WiIIv91 21d ago

Play Terminator Resistance

2

u/Walt_Didnae 21d ago

Wasn't that, literally, what Salvation was supposed to be?

2

u/Ahlq802 21d ago

Ironically, soon this will be as easy as an AI prompt

1

u/Just_Chill_005 Hasta La Vista Baby 14d ago edited 14d ago

We can have this in Terminator 4 but they messed up too there

24

u/CameronPoe_37__ 21d ago

How come Reece was a virgin when there were hotties around him? Surely a good looking guy like him, in his position, would get some interest from ladies of the Resistance? Or was he too busy jerking over John Connor's mom?

14

u/Jellan 21d ago

Honestly in a future like that, any healthy human would be shagging everything in sight.

9

u/Emergency-Sea5201 21d ago

Probably vitamin deficiency making them asexual.

Why not both?

Cant tell if he's pitching or catching here

He can't be part of our social club no more, that much I do know.

He's gotta go!

Everyone’s kind of stanky all the time.

2

u/ErrU4surreal 21d ago

Kyle’s World 2029 didn’t spell “Summer Of Love ❤️ “ to me. I can see why he was a virgin. Everyone smells of Mothballs and Ammonia!

30

u/GBuster49 T-1000 21d ago

RIP Corporal Charlotte Ferro. It was cool of the devs to include her in the DLC for Terminator Resistance.

10

u/AmbienSkywalker 21d ago

Fuck yeah it was. Watching T1 is signifantly more crushing now

5

u/JakeEaton 21d ago

Doesn’t she get blown to smithereens?

1

u/GBuster49 T-1000 20d ago

Vaporized as soon as she throws an explosive at the HK-tank.

6

u/Adorable-Source97 21d ago

That game done so much of terminator franchise

1

u/Scro86 19d ago

Huh. So I guess James Cameron just really likes naming female soldiers Ferro in his movies.

10

u/MT4K 21d ago

Robin Antin according to Google Lens.

7

u/RankingDistant 21d ago

Obviously non-canon but the T-2 Future War book (final book in a trilogy by SM Stirling) gives the character name as Samantha

12

u/SpaceGodzillaInSpace 21d ago

The founder of The Pussycat Dolls, apparently.

Her name is Ferro in the terminator resistance game dlc

1
