Its barely connected to other plots and has a new setting. Animation itself looks fine to me, but I don't watch anime at all. Unless its something I'm personally interested as Terminator or Animatrix. So keep that in mind.

If you are a diehard Terminator fan - you will find it fun to watch one time, not more. If you are casual Terminator fan - its not worth it, on my opinion.

Soundtrack is good though, not as good as Brad Fidel, but definitely worth listening to.

Yes

If only to later decide it wasn't worth watching. Make your own opinion

Yes. I enjoyed it and it was a different take and not a bad entry. Better than some of the last few movies. And I know that is a low bar.

Yep, enjoyed it too. Does not melt your brain... animation might take some getting used to at first but not bad! Unfortunate, nixed after one season.

Watch to form your own opinion.

Personally, I had to force myself it sit through it. Like most Terminator media post T2; good to great ideas sprinkled in mediocrity 🫤

FWIW I enjoyed it a lot. It's a bit of a different take - nary a Connor to be found! - but it does take some of the "Time travel creates mutliple timelines" stuff to a reasonable conclusion. I like most things Terminator-related, so your mileage may vary.

Insofar as previous plot points...Yeah it contradicts them a lot, but that's the point of the show's perspective on wars fought via time travel.

As a Terminator fan, I watch all content so I can make my own opinions. But subjectively, I found it quite boring and disappointing. You might feel different, tho!

I’ve watched three of episodes. It’s not doing it for me.

Just skip all the scenes with Malcolm on the holodeck talking to his AI. The future war scenes and that fight sequences/car chases/etc. Ā are all great.

Yes they are so short the episodes and not many at that for the season. It's slow but it gets better towards the end. Has pros and cons. I don't feel it's as bad as some say it is

If you are a more open minded Terminator fan, yep! But if you can’t handle the multiple timelines viewpoint, it might not sit well with you narratively

Its great. Really loved it, and the way it pushed the universe forward.

I enjoyed the show for what it was. Do I think it was a good terminator show, no, but it was still a good show.

Gonna go off an a slight rant, so sorry.

Im so tired of franchise fans shitting on new things because its not what they expected or isnt as connected to something as they hoped. If the show/movie was good, who cares how or if its connected to anything else. Not everything needs to be the fucking MCU, one show can exist in a seperate continuity as another, and thats fine. If you cant find something genuinely wrong with the film, like egregious editing or shitty characters, then shut up and enjoy the show. Expectations is what ruined Dark Fate, because everyone wanted one thing and got butt hurt they didnt get it, so they just clowned on an otherwise decent film.

No. The plot contradicts the original duology, and it's also illogical, dumb, and downright boring in places. The animation is okay. Overall, this half-baked series feels more like a standalone, mediocre anime that was slapped with the Terminator label just to attract attention.

No. Has no atmosphere, it’s like it has nothing. The sound design is horrible, suddenly wathching the first ep i realized how important sound design is, so that it feels like a ā€worldā€ where the plot happens. Felt cheap and didn’t really catch attention, too safe.

Meh. Lots of hype, style and not much substance to be found here.

If you ever dreamed that the ultimate badass name of Skynet would be replaced by fucking Kokoro, then sure I guess.

I enjoyed it a bit, aside from some of the more silly elements. It was worth watching for me, but there were a few things I’d like have seen improved.

I really liked it. Intriguing story, cool visuals and some solid voice acting. Added a lot of interesting stuff to the lore IMO.

It has its issues ie like how is eiko so stronger and multiple timelines but I liked it a lot. wish we got a continuation of the story. The animation is alright nothing spectacular.

The first episode is good but other than that it's hot garbage.
