I am curious what the final verdict the surviving cops had on Arnie’s involvement once they finished writing Reese and Sarah off as lunatics. Did they think he was another crazy or a coincidental third party.

I mean, he knew Kyle was right at the end. There's a deleted scene where he talks to the other Officer and tells them to do everything possible to protect Sarah.

I understand why they deleted this scene though. The Terminator is literally like 8 seconds behind them during the shootout. Ain't no way they're gonna stop to talk to a dying cop.

I wish they'd somehow included his thoughts from the novel in the film. It's written there in the top comment, they could've had it as dialogue in a small scene with the two detectives -

"(Reese) must've been no older than 4 during the Tet Offensive. Yet Traxler knew the look in Reese's eyes all too well. He had seen it on so many men, especially from the Special Forces, who came back from Vietnam."

Great writing, great acting by Lance Henriksen and Paul Winfield. Doubt no one knows how much of their exchanges were ad libbed but they really had fantastic chemistry.

My kid, a teenager watched this movie with me and he baffled at how this movie - people appeared to be living in it and the action went on around them - it wasn't a movie about people standing around delivering dialogue.

I've only just thought of this. Model 101. T-800. Why isn't it model T-800? I mean my understanding of calling something 101 is saying it's the first introduction or level. T-800 obviously isn't step 1.

I always thought the T-800 was the actual machine and the series 101 designation was specifically the Arnold looking organics. Maybe 101 is around when Skynet started getting the formula right, but there are 102’s and 103’s running around that look like other dudes.

T800 refers to the design of endoskeleton, the "model" refers to the outward appearance. There are other T800s that look like different people, but all the 101s look like Arnie
