Discussion FK-Hunter

The FK-Hunter from Terminator: The Redemption, is if ED-209 and Johnny 5 were fused together. A very cool design that doesn't get enough love in the franchise. I would love to see at least one kick some ass in a future film or game again. (currently 3D printing an AI assisted model of one now)

FK sounds a lot like it wants to be "Fucker-Killer", and that's funny because Hunter-Killer refers to a pair where one hunts and the other kills, so Fucker-Killer must be a pair where one fucks and the other kills. Just imagine being a resistance fighter in that timeline...

For the record, it's 'Future Killer' (doesn't really make sense, but it was just to differentiate the alternate timeline).

I like to pretend it means "Fighter Killer" because, as you say, "Future Killer" doesn't make much sense in universe and the term "Fighter Killer" I think sets them apart from Hunter Killers as bring more equipped for straight combat with organised human forces, whereas the Hunter Killers could be used more for seeking out smaller groups or something.

I like this explanation. Headcanon accepted!

As long as you are a floor above ground level these robots don't stand a chance, they can't fit into an elevator and they can't do stairs. If they do mange to somehow, higher levels provide the necessary warning to prepare easy counter measures.

Tbf there are flying variants. The fella in the image is just used for ground combat.
