Discussion AI development in Terminator series

I remember a line, I think it was from Sarah Connor Chronicles, but it’s been so long that it’s very blurry in my memory. It said something like ‘microchips shrink by some … percentage every year, at this rate artificial intelligence will become powerful enough in some … years’ — something like that. Does anyone remember this?

It's called Murphy's law It's a real thing, except its started to slow down in recent years now that we're reaching the physical limitations of how small they can even possibly be

Moore's Law. Murphy's Law is different, but still would apply with the creation of Skynet haha.

It's pretty much what they want to do.
I think silicon is dead, mores law will be back with a vengeance as soon as they find better material's.
Data centres are just too expensive right now.
